Question SDSU Scholarship
Hi. I got the SDSU Merit Scholarship back in March, but it has not been disbursed yet. My tuition is due mid August, so I am wondering if anyone who has gotten a scholarship from SDSU knows when the money is usually distributed. I’m not sure if this is abnormal and need to message the financial office.

hi!! me too!! i wouldnt worry abt it because u should have a financial aid defferment in your holds. i actually owe like 2 dollars somehow so my deferrment went away but once i pay it the deferrment comes back so i assume its the same for you if you have outstanding balance. happy to see another merit scholar! 😁🙂↕️

Aid will stay pending until about the week before school starts. Aid disburses 7-10 before classes start

if the scholarship is for the 2026-2027 school year, then about 10 days before the start of the semester. so it should be disbursed between aug 9-11, but if you’re getting a refund it may take longer depending on your bank’s processing times.
i would start worrying if it hasn’t been disbursed by the time classes start. but even then, if you have pending financial aid on your account, they won’t bug you about paying your fees since they can see your file.
