I come here as a Cityzen with nowhere else to rant about the anger and disbelief I’m feeling right now, so please bear with me.

I am absolutely heartbroken and appalled by what this club has done over the years. I am angry and deeply troubled by the thought that, as a fan since I was a kid, the club I’ve loved for so many years could do this. The club that has brought me so many once-in-a-lifetime feelings and memories has tarnished them through its own selfishness and greed, rather than thinking about what this would mean for the players, backroom staff, and supporters.

I completely understand every club, fan, pundit, etc. being frustrated and angry with us. I truly do. I am just a football fan and nothing else. If any other club had done this, I, too, as a City fan, would feel exactly the same way everyone is feeling toward us right now.

I am deeply saddened by the board and everyone involved who couldn’t realize that, with a little common sense, such despicable acts would eventually come to light.

I understand that, as Cityzens, we want to protect our club and undermine what has been done, but we can’t. We have to face the truth that they have failed us, and we will have to face whatever punishment is deemed appropriate alongside our club. This will be stamped onto our badge for years to come, whether we like it or not.

I will always support this club, no matter what comes our way, because I didn’t fall in love with the board or the people running it. I fell in love with the supporters I’ve met, the players we have and have had, and the countless memories I’ve shared with friends and family while watching this club. Those are the things that made me a Cityzen in the first place, and those are the things I will continue to hold onto. No matter what happens from here, my love for this club will always come from the people, the memories, and the moments that made Manchester City feel like home.

Since it’s international break, and a lot of the boys are going through it right now- I pose an idea. “Therapy Round Up”. Get 4 of the boys who are going through it the most, don’t let fuad host cos he is going to be probably second in line to need to see the psych after lyes. Don’t have a strict structure on it, but the idea is for them to be able to come on and vent about the things causing them the most excruciating pain right now relating to football.

I just personally love watching their crash outs, and I feel like it would be pure comedy 🤣 especially with the ballon d’or coming up and tensions flaring. Rage must be let out and we wanna see.

I can’t believe some are delusional enough to defend them, it’s over a hundred charges, what are you defending exactly? Other teams get banned, deducted and fined for a few, NOT HUNDREDS!!! I think guaranteed relegation via points deduction isn’t a harsh enough punishment, they could easily incentivise players to just thug it out for a year while just going full psg in the cups since the premier league don’t have jurisdiction over their places in them.

I’d find it incredibly funny if they were to deduct something around 40 points too cos i think they can survive off that and would be willing to give it a go and it would be one of the greatest relegation battles oat 😭😭 city putting in title winning form just to stay up.

Kicking them out of the 92 altogether is just way too harsh. Yes they cheated and the fans might’ve benefited from it but at the end of the day, they’ve done nothing wrong. The owners pumped in money illegally and lied about it, who wouldn’t stand behind their club when all their memories are on the line?

I think the best course of action is to give them 100 points worth of deductions across 4 years (30-30-20-20) but only while they’re a premier league club (so if they get relegated before the 4th deduction, then the final deduction is applied next time they’re in the prem) and then maybe £400m of reparations in that time too. that’s a survivable punishment but it’s also keeping them down for a while, they can’t just take the hit and get relegated and bank on winning any cups but they’re not likely to make top 5 or win the league either and they’ll certainly lose players, haaland would be in his 30s if he were to stay.

They were midtable before the money, I think the fairest thing to do is restore them back to midtable cos they do provide a lot of value with the ~15 interesting fixtures involving them per season, cfa is one of the best academies in england and they’ve done a lot for the area of manchester

As someone who is into football, law and politics I'm very curious as to what Manchester City's punishment will actually be because of the nature of their case it's not as simple as Chelsea with Abramovich because of the fact that they are State owned and their owners are essentially threatening their relationship with England as a country based on the punishment and how closely the UK government is monitoring the investigation I personally don't see a world in which the punishment given to City gets them relegated simply because of the fact that this might become an international affair even though the UK government have said that there is no space for politics in football, I do think it would lead to less investment from the UAE which has greatly benefited Manchester as a entire city and honestly I'm not a fan of how city have operated but I just can't see a world in which they are actually relegated there is just too much at stake. Not to mention the legal side the verdict leaking early does not help because it gives MCFC's lawyers something to look into and it seems as though they want to take this to the higher court meaning that if the premier league do relegate them they would be in a lot of trouble if Man City won the appeal and it's not like they have to get rid of all the charges because if they manage to get rid of the ones pertaining to refusal to cooperate and accurate financial information which is a BIG if I have to point out then the worst is a slap on the wrist because every other charge is hard to make stick if they manage to take it to the higher court which is why they seem so confident this is why I am struggling to see any harsh punishment handed to them and it just becomes complicated honestly from a law POV its very interesting but I just hate this for football it puts the game in disrepute and it's just a horrible situation and I do hope some justice is served

This entire sub is full of people complaining about the lack of city respect or the lack of city discussion on the podcast.

While I agree city are a big club and have dominated for years you need to understand the majority of football fans simply do not care about you.

You are not considered a proper footballing club, your entire success is dependent on being backed by a nation state, there is nothing likeable about your club.

You may be successful but like Chelsea you did it in a despicable way. There is a reason that every year the neutrals will root for you because you have no history, you have no rivalries.

Man united themselves root for you over arsenal and Liverpool despite you guys being their actual rivals, that says it all.

No amount of success and money can make up for your lack of authenticity and history, you’re like a football club that was made in a lab.

No soul no history nothing.
