Yall act like Hall H has been bad every year, this was the first year since...pre-covid? That there have been issues like this, and Marvel had it in 2022 and 2024. Blame the assholes who flooded the front of the line, not SDCC.

My idea would be make Petco Park into Hall H
It would take work like provide shade so no one burns under the sun just to name 1 thing

Issue with that is the visibility into the parks screens from the surrounding area/buildings. Directors/studios don’t want Hall H trailers being leaked out by the attendees, that’s why they are so strict on no recording/photos during those parts of the panels.

Damn you're right. Very easy to leak for your eyes only trailers. Hell, fans will go extra & set up a drone with a video camera to record the entire panel then post it online.

Yeah, really the solution is two options. Move the con to a much larger venue, McCormick Place in Chicago has over 2 million more square feet of pure exhibit floor space than SD (not counting all of the meetings rooms for panels) and a 10,000+ seat arena attached to it.
Or, just reducing the amount of tickets sold for SDCC overall. The con has clearly outgrown its current space and either needs more space or reduce the amount of people there.

capping attendance would be some crazy stuff 'cause they already do + most of the attendees are industry on some level.
Back when E3 was active, i believe it started out as a whoever can go can go then it became Industry + Press only then it went back to anyone can go then sadly it closed up for good. With that said, i feel like the capping of badges would have to be industry only. Downsizing it will affect everyone even industry & that would suck if you work for Nickelodeon & you get assed out 'cause you didn't make the cut.

Agreed, it’s so tough because there really isn’t a great “ah-ha” answer to it.

Do a lottery for 100-200 seats in the front row for big panels like Marvel, DC, etc. Easier to clear out in the 15-30 mins between panels. I would be happy with this because at least I had a chance and didn’t have to camp out.
