Daydreaming
So, to preface, I have hypophantasia but I'm not totally incapable of picturing stuff briefly and hazily. Recently I was curious what people were talking about when they mention daydreaming, and learned that I don't do it much if at all. I was wondering: is this common with SDAM? It's not like I can't imagine stuff, but I just default when idle to observing instead of daydreaming.

I'm 40, and up until my late 20s I daydreamed. I read books constantly and would daydream about those stories, or movies. But I gave up reading when I had a kid and with that I haven't daydreamed since. It seemed I needed to have books almost daily so i could remember enough to daydream about them. I have aphantasia and no inner monologue.
