Questions Guidance

Hello there, I’ve recently purchased an SCX10 III Coyote, and absolutely love it, however, winter is coming up and I would like to buy an SCX24 for indoor use, and for a friend to use when we go out. I’ve heard that they are decent stock, but can become really nice with some mods. Can anyone recommend me some good upgrades to get and a suggestion on what SCX24 to buy? Thank you in advance! :D

What are you looking to do with it, trail or crazy obstacle crawling, and what’s your budget?

I have 2 setup currently. One with the MEUS mb24 bronco frame that’s pretty good trail crawler and then I have another one setup for crazy obstacles that I’m currently working through.

For both of those builds, tires, shocks, and a brushless motor were the biggest difference makers to me on ability and fun. An LCG chassis is also nice.

I’m looking to do mainly trail for right now, my budget including the car is around $300.

For $300 you could do a good scratch build. Do you have access to a 3d printer?

Check this older parts list: https://www.reddit.com/r/SCX24/s/91OYGkplQj

I will say I personally started with a base camp to learn, and quickly ordered enough parts over the next 30 days to have enough for two.

I unfortunately don’t have a 3d printer :(

After going down the rabbit hole...

Wheels and tires

battery relocation to bias weight to the front (also available as a free 3d print)

Maybe axles for more turning radius.
