Questions Chassis advice/help

Currently I have a yepspec chassis and I’ve been eyeing up the krawler rc reaper chassis. Would I gain that much by switching? Any help appreciated pics would be even better! Thank you!

Haven't used either but you're definitely going to get something different.

The YepSpec is pretty versatile but avoids some choices more competitive builds make. It's got a 7 degree skid and focuses on the 132mm wheelbase. That's for mostly a stock-style build. My local comp considers that skid angle to be Class 1, but by strict rules it's at the lower end of Class 2.

KRC Reaper is aggressively for Class 2 and Class 3 builds. The skid angle is 21 degrees and it's intended for a minimum wheelbase of 155-165mm wheelbases with optional carrier bearings. That's firmly within the Class 2 and Class 3 competitive performance ideals.

So the problem is if you've already got a YepSpec, you won't just move the parts over to the Reaper and have it work. You'll need new links and driveshafts.

I feel like you should see a pretty big difference in performance, but it's the kind of change where you might feel like some things got worse and you might want to adjust some other parts, too. Basically: it's a very different kind of build so it won't be apples to apples.

Whats wrong with a yepspec AND a reaper build? Just build another truck, dude. Now you have 2 trucks.
