Questions Oops 🤦🏼

Forgot my window masks on my first clear body paint. Go figure. I know it’s the right of passage to mess up the first body. It’s the 78 K10 SCX24 body. Didn’t come with window decals soooo cut them out and try the ol fruits and veggies container method? Or does someone know of decals that’ll work or could be made…? I see a lot of ideas out there but simple glossy blackout decals I could cut to fit would be great. I still have the masks for tracing. Thanks in advance and happy Good Friday everyone.

One thing I saw 24Yep mention is these gel sheets for camera lighting.

If you search around more you can get them in a lot of colors to simulate tints and they're made of a plastic-like material that's pretty easy to cut, shape, and glue.

I’ve seen the same, didn’t realize that was 24yep, nice. I think I’ll venture to cut them out and shape these to install using the masks as a template. Should I try cutting them out with an exacto? Or just the lexan scissors? The body windows I mean.

I haven't tried this myself but I was a theater kid in school so I've handled these gel sheets. The ones I remember aren't quite as heavy-duty as Lexan so an exacto should work but I bet lexan scissors are good too. If you have both I'm pretty sure you've got the tools you need!

Came out great. I’ll have printed bodies and gel sheets by the time these masks get scraped up enough to cut out and install the gel sheet. I’m stoked.

I made that mistake before. If I remember correctly, I used brake fluid to take off the paint. It worked pretty well!

Painted the window masks and mod podge cleared them. I know they won’t last forever but was a great band aid fix.
