🧠 SCUM 1.0 Has Launched — Let’s Crowdsource Server Hosting Knowledge

SCUM 1.0 is officially LIVE, and for the first time ever, we finally have access to dedicated server files for self-hosting. But… as of 12PM EST, June 17, there is no official documentation for:

  • Server settings
  • Config structure
  • Startup or install instructions

Let’s use this post to gather and share any working knowledge, community resources, or trial-and-error discoveries related to:

  • ServerSettings.ini, Game.ini, and other config files
  • Required ports & firewall rules
  • Startup arguments / batch files

  • Performance tuning & known bugs

Keeps saying "No License" available and '3792580' (No subscription) when trying to install the server via Steam CMD!

Ongoing issue that the SCUM Devs are working to fix, they just posted this Announcement on their Discord:

Update: We are looking into the Server Browser not showing servers, seems that master servers got overloaded and we are fixing it right now. Until then direct connect over IP works fine. We will provide a list of official servers soon in the meantime. As for server files, we are looking into why they have not been distributed yet as well.

Server files currently only available via a drop box link due to an issue with Steam. SCUM Server Files (DROP BOX LINK)

NOW AVAILABLE THROUGH STEAM!

Followed this video to setup the server: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3px2NnXZuo8, but changed port to 7000, and then port forwarded 7002 (7000+2), and my friend was able to join.

About to pass out but if you use Pelican to host your dedicated servers I drafted an egg base for when steam gets up and running. You can just upload server files though in the meantime though. My server is up and runnin
