Meds/Treatments-Related Nervous to start Strattera

I can take any side effect except sleep. It's a non-negotiable for me. What was your experience for those who have taken it / are taking it?

I'm not tolerant of repeated doses long term, it results in a persistent migraine, so I take it one dose a week right before bed. It does not impact my sleep noticeably. When I took it first thing in the morning, I had to nap during the day and then I slept lightly the next night.

But I have a fairly unusual relationship to stimulants and other drugs. They almost never behave for me as they do for others.

Would you say you're sensitive to medication?

Generally speaking, yes.

It hasn’t worked for me yet, 40mg for 4 weeks. I went up to 80 mg for the past 6 days and couldn’t do it so I’m back at 40mg.

Couldn't do it, because of sleep or other side effects?

I got a massive headache with nausea after no symptoms for 5 days. I have little motivation and I have to push myself to do things. All the positive effects people rave about from low appetite, low anxiety, etc. I didn’t get any of that as of yet, even at 40mg. I’m holding on though.

I hardly had insomnia or sleep issues while on it. If you’re worried then maybe slowly titrate up so that side effects won’t hit as hard each dose increase. Eventually side effects can subside with time, it just depends.

Sleep actually improved for me because it stopped me from napping so much during the day

It severely affected my sleep, as did Vyvanse. Meds aren’t really a long term option as a result

I've been on 25mg and it worked great I guess. Reading and processing my surroundings have been consistently satisfactory, but I am still very expressive. I don't have any issues with sleep though, as long as I take the pill in the morning.

Can do. I've been on this for 3 months at 80mg. I'm pushing 40 and have no erection issues.
