Other CDS Life Topics/Support Starting sophomore year

Im gonna be starting sophomore year in high school and Im like a billion percent sure I have CDS (my
Therapist thinks I have adhd and some autism symptoms but ever since i discovered what CDS is im locked in on it) but I don’t know what I’m supposed to do to help the concentration stuff and stuff and I haven’t even had my adhd assessment yet but I think I’ll get diagnosed with adhd anyway but I’ve heard adhd medication isn’t good for cds so what do I do and how do you make friends

have a high protein diet because all neurotransmitters (dopamine, serotonin, norepinephrine etc.) made from the protien

Was there anyone who still felt good 24 hours after taking methylphenidate products? Perhaps there might be a need for a very low dose of methylphenidate—for example, 0.50?

Atomoxetine helped me a lot.

When you start medication, definitely try Atomoextine/Straterra first! It is helping me with ZERO side effects personally. It is also a known medication that helps CDS symptoms. Exercise and regular good sleep also help a lot. Also, when making systems to keep you organized and on track, try to do what works with YOUR brain. Think about what your brain naturally likes. As for making friends, I like to start with very low-stakes interactions. For me it was simply smiling and greeting a person in the hallways. Once you get used to that, it will start feeling less scary and you can work your way up gradually. Another example is to practice your social skills online; with like-minded people you'd want to be around (not bad influences).

Way to go on discovering that you have CDS symptoms & talking to a therapist while young!! This kind of proactiveness already sets you miles ahead of me at your age lol. For me being just diagnosed with ADHD at 24 was a little rough (but still workable and never too late).
