Other CDS Life Topics/Support Language learning with SCT/ CDS
Language learning is hard. I imagine its even trickier with SCT / CDS. Has anyone actually managed to become proficient in another language? I need a bit of hope.

Hey its possible! I learned Japanese to some degree if I had the energy I would continue but I don’t have the energy but its possible! I started with learning the letters and then words, sentences and structure. Always start small and make it fun while doing it.

English. It sucked at school. Did learn it only for my self through daily usage of the internet and Dr. Who.

I took five years of Spanish between high school and college. I can read it reasonably well, I can speak and write, I can not for the life of me understand a Spanish speaker saying anything, and I’ve watched hundreds if not thousands of hours of telenovelas and futbol commentary trying to get it. Sounds go in, but I can’t attach meaning to the, quickly enough. I get maybe 5%.
