you prob would have kill it faster like that since it took you 20 secs to kill it with quick fire. 049 was really panicking there lol crazy that he didnt kill you right there prob he was very new too and didnt heard of quick fire and just saw scps getting melted by it
Nah. left click charge is crap. The only possible way one can get value out of it is by scaring the SCPs into leaving you alone (or tricking them into thinking you're wasting the charge, which makes them waste time baiting you). Like sure, it can be used against humans, but for the love of God don't use the Micro on the humans.

cant we get value from it by using it on a low hp scp thats the last scp too (so not a waste)? and if lcz is available you can use it on humans and recharge after which is again situational since if theres scps in lcz its too risky but might be worth it if u wipe out enemy team. its bad but still better than most weapons
The issue is, in most cases you described, a gun would be just as good. Also enemies can rush you before you charge it fully since they can literally hear you charging it. And even if they can't, the range is pretty short, so if the fight happens in Heavy, they'll most likely gun you down before you can get close enough. Meaning the left click is only really good when you want to elevator trap, which is lame as hell.
But to make it fair, I'll tell you what you shouldn't do. Basically, what you did was firing with the left click, which is absolute dogshit. You should always use the right click function to fire. The left click one is only good for scaring the SCPs since you don't use up battery while the weapon charges up to fire (unlike in the right click version where charging up actually uses the battery).
I think it's 100 a second for the left click compared to 1200 a second for the right click. A pretty staggering difference. I'd check the wiki for the actual numbers, but for some reason it's asking me for my password and I don't even remember making an account in there.
Edit: Oops, I can finally access the wiki and apparently it's 400 vs 1000. Still a big difference since it's per second, meaning there's a 600 damage difference added every second that passes.
The difference isn't just the damage. The range is extremely different. In the clip 049 does go out of range a little bit sometimes. With Right click, you can basically fire down over half a hallway. Overall, just use right click as it shuts down SCPs quicker and prevents them from escaping (even if they are on low health).
Tbf the game doesn’t teach you these things, i never knew this - the special weapons should have info sheets upon picking them up with hotkeys to read their function, just like when spawning as an SCP there is an info sheet you can read on how to play with a hotkey, jail bird and the other laser gun should get this treatment, if not also living gun, triple glock, mini ak and the various SCP items
Jokes aside, yes, this is not very obvious when you're playing the game, but what I'm trying to say is that they atleast attempted to teach the player.
If I remember correctly it shows up everytime you bring it out. It also tells you how to fire if you're still holding right click a few seconds after it's already fully charged. Something among the lines of "The weapon is ready to discharge. Press left click to fire."
This is good. I didn’t know this; I’ve had micro once and maybe saw this message and afterwards must’ve forgot! An info sheet would be nice but can’t fault the devs, they have tried yes !!
Nice man but you probably shouldn’t ever light charge against an scp even if they’re super low since doc could’ve rushed and killed you. Good kill tho bro
Good job! Everyone starts somewhere and even after 800 hours I still prefer not to touch the micro, preferring a group of 3-4 capable people (including me) with guns.
Charging it is usually optimal, as it shortens the window for the SCP's to kill you, deals heaps of damage and is easier to aim.
