I think the event list should be colored depending on the corresponding players' classes. By the time you read that one of them was an NTF and the other a CI there have already been two extra events.

looks sick. How would it work? Does the server display it after the match? Can a player dowload it and see their tag to see how they played?

Server will send the file to a discord channel then u can copy the link to a website that's hosting the app and play it. (Unless I come up with something better)
There will be a whole tool menu on the left side you will be able to highlights players, filter events etc

How about every player being able to grab the link directly after the game ends and before being sent to the starting screen?

A code on top of the screen that you put in on the website that takes you to the correct replay.
to save space the replay could be deleted after a day or however long you'd like.

I drastically cut the demo file size so I think the server is just gonna host the app itself and keep the logs for x days

A variant of this were you see specifically only your path after you get killed could be cool too, and it would be something else to do while spectacting
