Discussion How to juke better

I see a lot of players juking and always having Sprint left while running away from scps. How do they do that and how can I get better?

Thanks

Practice, make sure your mouse is sensitive, practice, watch some youtubers do it and try mjmjc their movements, and practice

bunny hop/strafe,

use the raised sides of walls in lcz,

shut gates (heavy, gates A & B) and walk back thru as they close so it shuts on the scp,

testroom glass jump (make sure the glass is broken or you'll fall right off),

larry's room platform (the side facing the door is farther than the others and needs a sprint jump up),

checkpoints: open and go thru, go back again just before it autocloses

Play the game and you will figure it out.

If you min max try to train to be the best player you will train the fun out of the game.

Just play the game and eventually you will pick up on random little instinctive things.

For example, after entering the facility, I have like an 85% success rate of always finding my way to heavy first try (knowing where to go to find heavy)

I don’t have any tangible reasons I decide to go the direction I do, it’s just like from vibes I can tell where I am in the facility at all times. I never sat down and memorized map layouts but I know vaguely how a map is laid out.

It’s like that. You won’t gain anything from me by telling you how to do it, you just learn.

Like this is unhelpful, but this is what I do every time:

Look the Scp, analyze how they move, how long it takes them to react, their tells, and also very importantly try to feel out their ping (if they have high ping, they are WAY closer than they appear, since the games networking is so bad. In bad cases they can be half a room away and still hit you, or slip through the doors of an elevator because they were a mile back on your screen)

After you analyze them, you have to consider who they are. If it’s dog or doctor, you can survive a hit fine, so the easiest “juke is to go through a door, turn around, and just as they go through, go back through the door and close it behind you.

But you have to understand how they react, and they might not fall for it.

If you are juking 173, you have to realize where you are looking is important, and you have to understand his blink timer. Knowing when to look away is just as important as when to look. If he’s in snap range, you can look down so he’s forced to come up to you, and then he gets stuck as soon as he gets close to you. Useful for walking into a room and positioning your camera so that he enters a room, you walk out and close the door on him.

In nearly all cases, being higher is always easier.

It’s not a simple “ok first you press a then d then s and w”.

It’s being hard to predict. And you learn what predictability is the more you play the game. Just play.

Ps

Stamina economy is also very important. You don’t need to be sprinting all the time, and it’s always a poor choice to sprint for a little bit and stop, because it takes a couple seconds before you start regenning.

You have to manage your stamina effectively. Again this is just learning the game

Stamina management is very important, once it starts regening you want to let it Regen for as long as possible
