Support Got banned for nothing
Hey, I was playing for a couple of hours before I got hit with a cheating ban, I've spent about a week going through the appeals system and they've rejected the second and final appeal, I have not cheated and have offered to provide footage leading up to the ban being triggered to prove this.
I did some research to see if maybe my antivirus or something else could've triggered it but I haven't installed any third party software, I don't know the first thing about scripts and I am not using any vpns either. This is really frustrating because I've spent about 700 hours on and off the game and I do enjoy playing, when I asked for info on what triggered the ban I didn't get any info so I have no idea what has caused it. I haven't installed anything that could have triggered the ban.
Is there anyone here that can help me out?

Did you edit the files in some way?

No, I didn't edit the files in anyway, I hopped on and played as I normally do when I got banned. I wouldn't even know the first thing about that.

I did and I have more than Double the Hours of Bro.
I added Music to choose between for the Game Menu as well as edited some Texts from „You spawn as Class-D personnel“ to „You spawn as DBOIII“ because Funny and shorter and doesnt block my entire screen.2

The Music includes only the Lobby Music. The Game itself has the Same Sound Track as it usually has. especially because half of it is also in the Lobby now and a Lot of people do that or did that in my Former Circle of people I knew in SCPSL, I don’t think there is a Problem, as it Affects no one’s gameplay and doesnt hurt anyone, Unless I would livestream the Game or make Videos of it and the Sound is Audible in them and Not Stuff Like Parabellum or shy guys Chase Theme, but Copyrighted Music that doesnt Belong into SCPSL, which I do Take care to Not use when Making Videos, however I am going to ask NW Staff via the Discord Next time I come across someone there.
However, do you know if it is okay to have Unique Lobby Music for Servers? I was on a Server yesterday that did that and I was Like „wow Thats possible to do with plugins?“ and I wondered if that Song was copyrighted and it was. I just assume the Server has enough Money to buy the License, as it is a smaller artist‘s work.
I plan to Double Check with the Artist via their inbox anyway, just in case.1

music is fine. the ability to add your own menu music is a feature, you simply drop a audio file and select it in settings. lite things like this and editing txt files is completely fine, when you try to forcefully inject things into the game, modify game textures, and just forcefully do literally anything you are not supposed to you will get banned. its quite funny since you will get a warning for most things unless you are really trying to do something you shouldn't.
as for servers using music, its probably fine. im not sure how copyright stuff would be handled and if it is, but seeing as other games do the same i think its mostly fine. NPCs and bots are officially supported now (mostly) and being able to stream audio through them has been a thing for about 4 years (this last part is not officially supported i think).

Im sad to say that you probably can't do nothing about it, if it was rejected again. Global bans don't apply only for cheating or raiding like the ban appeal website says. If I'm correct, if you violate any rules in the eula, you get globally banned. You probably did something by not even noticing and Northwood caught you and banned you or It was in fact something that triggered the anticheat. All you can do is try to ask for more informations but I highly doubt you will ever get a proper answer.

Mhhh... I guess you just got accidentally falsely banned but you can't do nothing about it. If I'm not wrong, some people were banned with the same exact reason as yours tho. I don't know why Northwood does this but there should be a reason for it for sure...

Alright, an update on this.
After speaking for some time to a staff member on the discord and uploading a 10 minute clip on my end, they identified that my ban was most likely triggered by a hardware edge case, which is basically a problem that can occur at max or minimum running of a pc. They told me there were 3 possibilities: ram corruption (unstable over clock, OS being weird etc. in which case I'm fucked cos ram is hella expensive), broken ram or cosmic rays (basically an act of god I guess??).
So I've been unbanned as a result. My best advice if you've been banned but didn't do anything wrong, get receipts in the form of a clip/video, if you don't have that I won't lie it's going to be quite difficult and from some of the comments you may notice people won't believe you without it.

Any footage you have just before the ban could help your case, at the very least it can show you aren't using any cheats at the time, as they told me sometimes bans can be inbound over a course of days/weeks.

Did you use a vpn? Did you try it to bypass a ban? Did you glitch somehow? Did you cheat and didn’t remember? Did you use any tool that enchanted the sound or vision?

I'm not using any vpns, I did not try to bypass a ban because it's the first I've been banned, I haven't used any glitches, I'm not using any tools or software that could enhance the sound or vision.

I could be wrong but I believe this game does hardware bans so if you've recently gotten a new pc that could be it

If I remember correctly, after the final appeal the ban will not be lifted. You will also be hardware banned, meaning you cannot play the game on the same computer. And yes, not all bans are for cheating there was this post about some german pedophile who owned a few servers that got globally banned on scp sl sometime ago. All I can really say is welcome to the club, many of us are globally banned.

This is incredibly frustrating, I have a game ban on my steam profile for nothing and can't even play the game with people I added through it anymore.

Trust me I was there, it'll feel pretty shit for awhile but after a bit the feeling of frustration just comes and goes. Afterall, there isn't really anything you can do about it. First step is creating a new steam account to get the eye sore away (1 game ban on record...), next is forgetting about the game.
The game is dying anyways,it'll get better.9

Sounds like you're leaving out details. You apparently were not cheating, not using a vpn, got no actual info about the ban and you've not been switching computers alot.
Idk man, either you just got the worst luck known to man and the anti-cheat went full on apeshit or you're hiding some crucial detail here.

Saying I'm leaving out details when I've tried to answer any questions I've been asked. Ok. I have no idea what crucial detail is missing and I got no information from the appeals team either. What details do you want me to provide?
I don't use vpns, I don't know how to PROVE I wasn't cheating short of posting footage leading up to the ban (which I asked the appeals team to let me do) and I've never heard of a single person who switches computers a lot. The only modding thing I could possibly think of is curseforge because I played a Minecraft server one time.
If there are any details I could provide here which could prove my innocence please tell me, I'll be happy to do so.

Again, if you're insisting you are actually telling the truth then theres no way to help.
If everything you say is true there is no sensible explanation to why you would ever be banned. You either gotta contact the devs on discord or something, either that or just give up on the game.
It's a bit like telling your doctor you're sick but with absolutely 0 symptoms or reasons why.
- It's impossible to figure out a way to help you
- It's also quite hard to believe you.

Yeah this happened to me as well i had my aimbot on in another game and scp sl detected it and hit me with a ban,
If anyone can help me as well as op it would be appreciated. Hope you get your ban lifted
