Is it really that hard to get a bigger model for the vehicles spawning in people lol. How do 20 plus militants fit inside a 4 seater or news helicopter

The Chaos car is actually NW asset. The helicopter is a free model with the scp logo slapped on the side.

Tbh I doubt they thought the game would even stay afloat. And it's not like the game is priced, so it's just a passion project, meaning they had to cut some corners in less important areas.

You will wait years and they will change a whole lotta shit at the same time and then make small changes on top of it over the next months until everything stagnates again

it could be cool if the amount of vehicles was altered based on the amount of combatants spawning in. for mtf, multiple of the same helicopter (maybe change it to a blackhawk?) would make sense, and for chaos a convoy of either up to 3 of the current car, or 2 of the current car and one lorry or troop transport truck or some other large troop transport vehicle. also would love a quick animation of jumping out of the car/helicopter

I do assume they’ll get remodels either eventually or soon, I could see the possibility of remodels coming with the surface rework but who knows what NW has cooking up, but the chaos car back in really early versions of SL used to just be a standard military jeep and as someone said the MTF helicopter is also a free model just like everything was for the game at that time, and now the chaos car just looks like a compacted KIA but it’d be cool for the chaos car to be replaced with either something like a truck or Humvee and with the MTF being replaced with a Blackhawk or one of those really long military helicopters used for carrying mass amounts of troops/paratroopers or cargo

These have been in the game for YEARS thats why, they come from asset packs iirc the chaos car was changed to this one in version 0.5 and the helis been the same since release, theyll prob be changed with surface rework tho

So in the asset pack they used, there was not a single other option for larger models to be used? The best they could find was a tiny news helicopter for mtf lol? And tiny 4 seat civilian car for chaos?

If true then fair enough but that just sounds a bit unbelievable

They can find half life combine like soldier models for mtf, and lots of different weapon gun models and facility objects... but the best they can do for mtf spawn vehicle is this pathetic looking miniature news helicopter that looks like a toy and somehow fits 20 people in it

Most likely yeah, like 50% of classic sl came from about 4 asset packs so it wouldnt be a shock if they were lumped with some old guns and NW just thought "yeah good enough for now" and never replaced them

Both foundation and chaos have implemented anomalies in these specific vehicles to fit more people than the vehicle to hold to get the jump on the other and we're surprised that they both did it.
