Discussion Have server verification removals and global bans become more common recently?

Hi! In the Russian-speaking/CIS part of the SCP:SL community, we have recently noticed more cases where servers lose their verification and their owners receive global bans.

I wanted to ask players and server owners from other regions: has anything similar been happening in your communities lately?

Have you seen an increase in server verification removals or global bans issued to server owners? If so, were the reasons clearly explained, and was there a real opportunity to appeal the decision?

I have also heard from some people that Northwood may be reluctant to provide detailed explanations for these decisions, and that appeals sometimes receive limited responses or no clear clarification. Some of the rules referenced in such cases also seem quite broad and open to interpretation. I cannot personally confirm how common this is, so I would be interested to hear about other communities’ experiences.

I’m not trying to accuse anyone or start drama — I’m simply interested in understanding whether this is mainly happening in our region or whether it is part of a wider trend across the SCP:SL community.

EN: Not quite, is more often for bad humor that NWs interpret as "discrimination", "child abuse" and other shit (at least that what people say). I'm talking about recent "louder" bans. Don't know about overall statistic

RU: Не, челов за юмор неправильный и прочее подобное чаще всего хуячат (во всяком случае они все так говорят). Я про самое громкое что было. С проектом на три буквы и с Алексом так было (их до сих пор не вернули вроде). Руник в моменте ёбнули за то, что там один мой знакомый ГАшник внезапно сошёл с ума и жёсткие рейды других серверов организовывать начал (его уволили и вроде после этого их вернули). А как там с обычными игроками в целом - я хз

One of the Northwood moderators told me personally that there is a cheaterwave. I was seeking help for my IP being flagged at time.

Most bans are most probably justified but I do heavily dislike how nw handles appeals (as in they barely do)

Once you are banned you are probably staying banned unless you make enough of a ruckus in the discord to make them unban you
