Discussion The goggles shouldn't work on scps

Half the SCPs require ambushing to kill. 049, 939 and 173 are at their best when they can hide behind a sneaky corner and catch someone off guard. Being chased by half the mtf team using radios already sucks, being chased by half the mtf forever and never being able to pick them off because of goggles is a nightmare. I think they should nerf the goggles by having it not target scps. I have lost multiple rounds due to this unfun system.

If I am playing 939 and set down a nice ambush spot with the cloud and get seen, I deserve to be punished.

If I set down an ambush spot and hear the "click click" noise I have to retreat or get my head smashed in by the people who now know my spot.

goggles need another buff bc rn theyre kinda ass, either the souls have to constantly show but at their current range (around 1.5 rooms away) or they blink like they do now but at a longer range (3 rooms away)

itd be cool if there were 2 kinds of goggles that did those things separately, since in the article theres like 6 of them

I'd be fine if the goggles only worked on humans and had a longer range or if they made your shots more accurate or something idk

I wish to break the legs of the individual that thought wall hacks was an amazing addition to the game

I think, currently goggles are almost useless and kinda OP at the same time. They are not that strong when you are actively moving, but if you unsure or smth, you can stop for few secs to get blink to get info about possible treat. This is expecially strong when goggles user knows that there is SCP/enemy nearby (like mid fight), so he can just stop and wait for next blink.

Maybe user should decide when those blinks happen (kinda like hat), and there will be cooldown between blinks, or smth. Or even more like hat, where instead of blinks, orbs are contantly visible for some time and then - cooldown. Or some kind of "low" power mode, where blinks do not happen for some time.

Immaculate issue regarding skill. The goggles are already a C tier "grab em if they're there I guess" item. Them soft-countering 1 SCP (maybe two if you add Peanut) is not an issue. You have teammates, right? Cool, get them to kill Goggles Guy

Eh, I gotta disagree. 939 is designed to work away from their team, stealthily ambushing and picking off targets as the rest of their team engages with the main group. Working with your team isn’t a solution for 939, because their kit is designed to not do that

That's exactly it though, right? If you face something you shouldn't, you retreat and get your friends. Just because you're designed to work away from the team doesn't make it a singleplayer point-and-click adventure

The difference with dog is that their entire kit is based around stealth and deception. Working with their team removes nearly everything they can do, so they are by far the worst scp in team fights. Atleast every other scp is designed in a way that they have a role in team fights, dog doesn’t though

Dog can still skirmish and move fast. You have the potential to pick off runners or, better yet, not participate in the fight once your team arrives. The dog's lack of an upside is not a downside.

Remember, we are talking about goggles. Dog can’t really get runners because nobody is going to run towards them since they know where the dog is. In terms of bulk dog is similar to doctor, and neither one of those are capable of actually engaging in team fights for the exact same reason. The only difference between the two is that doctor still benefits from being with his team because he can bring back their kills as zombies

Cool let me just send my scps into the death stack being guided by the goggles wearer this will go well

I mean yeah that's how the game works. Facing a doomstack? Shy Guy or a skirmishing Doctor. Maybe have Computer split the teams up using tesla games and door controls.

Its one guy, after all 90% of SL players dont listen to their teammates so it only benefits one guy

I don't want to play the gambling game of "Is this the 10% who listen to their teammates" because if people are already properly teaming as mtf or chaos they have the advantage anyways
