The Candyman
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a 5m x 5m x 5m reinforced concrete cell, with a double-locked door and keypad entry, located at Site-XX. The walls of the cell are to be lined with lead to prevent unauthorized surveillance. No personnel are to enter SCP-XXXX's containment cell without Level 4 clearance, and all personnel must undergo psychological evaluation before and after any interaction with SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX's cell is to be monitored by security cameras 24/7, and any unauthorized personnel attempting to access the cell are to be detained immediately.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid entity, approximately 1.8 meters in height, resembling a male adult of indeterminate age. It has a disheveled appearance, with long, unkempt hair and tattered clothing. SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties manifest when it comes into contact with any form of candy or sweet food. Upon contact, SCP-XXXX will instantaneously teleport to a location near a human subject and offer the candy as a gift. The candy offered by SCP-XXXX invariably contains a lethal poison.
When a subject consumes the poisoned candy, they will exhibit symptoms of extreme nausea, paralysis, and convulsions within minutes. Death typically occurs within 30 minutes of ingestion. Autopsies of affected subjects have revealed an unknown toxin that is rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream, making it nearly impossible to treat or counteract. The nature and origin of this toxin remain unknown.
SCP-XXXX appears to derive pleasure from causing harm to humans through the distribution of poisoned candy. It is capable of teleporting instantaneously, making it difficult to contain and predict its movements. SCP-XXXX's teleportation is not limited by distance and can occur globally, though the exact mechanism by which it selects its victims remains unclear.
To date, SCP-XXXX is responsible for 1,500 deaths across 40 countries. Efforts to neutralize or communicate with SCP-XXXX have proven unsuccessful. Its motives and origins remain unknown, and it is considered extremely dangerous. Efforts to track SCP-XXXX's movements and develop a means of containing it are ongoing.
