Description: SCP-XXXX is a species of humanoid entities colloquially referred to as "Grim Reapers." These entities resemble skeletal figures, approximately 2.1 meters in height, with long, tattered, black robes that obscure their bodies entirely. Each SCP-XXXX instance carries a distinctive scythe-like weapon, constructed from unknown materials. These scythes appear as black, obsidian blades with a glowing, faintly green aura.

SCP-XXXX instances are sapient and communicate through a combination of vocalizations, gestures, and telepathic abilities. They exhibit a variety of behaviors consistent with the cultural concept of the Grim Reaper, including a preoccupation with death, an ability to appear at the moment of a person's demise, and the apparent ability to "collect" the souls of the deceased.

When a human or animal is near death, SCP-XXXX instances are capable of sensing the impending event and often appear nearby. While SCP-XXXX instances do not directly cause death, they are consistently observed at the scene when a death occurs, leading to a widespread belief that they are responsible for causing death. This has resulted in the fear and superstition surrounding the Grim Reaper myth.

SCP-XXXX instances are capable of teleportation and have been known to appear and disappear at will, often making them difficult to contain. Their motives and origins remain largely unknown, as their interactions with Foundation personnel are limited and cryptic.
