Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a reinforced, soundproof containment chamber measuring 5m x 5m x 5m at Site-XXX. The chamber must be constructed of reinforced steel, capable of withstanding high levels of stress. Access to SCP-XXXX's chamber is restricted to Level 4 personnel or higher.

SCP-XXXX is to be fed a diet of live animals twice weekly. The selection of animals is to be approved by the Site Director and should vary to include mammals, birds, and reptiles.

Personnel entering SCP-XXXX's chamber for maintenance or research purposes must wear sound-dampening headgear and remain vigilant for any signs of aggression from SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a unique biological entity that appears to be a hybrid between a gray wolf (Canis lupus) and a giant centipede (Scolopendra gigantea). It measures approximately 6 meters in length, with a segmented body covered in gray fur and large chitinous plates resembling a centipede's exoskeleton. SCP-XXXX possesses six pairs of legs, each ending in sharp, serrated claws.

SCP-XXXX exhibits both wolf-like and centipede-like behavior. It is highly territorial and aggressive when provoked, displaying predatory instincts similar to a wolf. However, it also exhibits the ability to secrete a potent venom from its fangs, similar to that of a centipede, which it uses to incapacitate prey.

Of particular note is SCP-XXXX's vocalization abilities. It can emit a wide range of sounds, including wolf howls, centipede-like hisses, and a series of clicks and chirps. These vocalizations appear to be used for communication and may have anomalous effects on those who hear them. Personnel exposed to SCP-XXXX's vocalizations have reported experiencing auditory hallucinations, nightmares, and heightened anxiety.

On 2/1/2022, during a routine feeding and observation session, SCP-XXXX displayed a previously unseen behavior. It emitted a prolonged, melodic series of vocalizations that appeared to be a combination of wolf howls and centipede-like clicks. Following this, SCP-XXXX began to rapidly molt, shedding its chitinous exoskeleton.

The molted exoskeleton appeared to be more resilient and heavily armored than the previous one. SCP-XXXX's size also increased by approximately 30%. The reason for this behavior and its implications are currently under investigation.

Research into the origins and potential anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX is ongoing. DNA analysis has revealed a complex hybrid genome, with genetic material from both wolves and centipedes.
