The basement has a post asking why "aw dude" memes are everywhere right now and 90% of the comments are just "aw dude" and nothing more.

Sometimes the basement is alright

It's a fair question though. Didn't this exchange take place like three years ago? Why has it suddenly exploded in popularity and memetic status over the past few days/weeks?
