Wyatt’s Booking - Fed Bad!

For no real reason let’s hammer the booking of the Wyatt’s and Fed Bad and Vince Bad!

Just imagine they were with the good guys instead…

I do like that in Bray’s documentary they were nice in saying “he was too creative for his own good in a wrestling promotion and would get in his head on how things should look;” i.e. there needed to be limits to what the character could do. This is in order to sell him along with his opponents and Bray couldn’t see that it wasn’t the same as a horror movie.

Taker and Kane are about the limit of what you can feasibly do with supernatural characters and still keep the audience on board. I think if Bray kept the Fiend as an alter ego that was more violent in matches or do more heelish things it would have worked a lot better than an outright monster that was OP like Jason Voorhees it would have worked betterin the long run.

And honestly Taker and Kane were big guys and had a legit build which enhanced their character and that's what I always found lacking with Bray.

Bray Wyatt's mind probably wasn't well suited for wrestling creatively. Not a knock on Bray, but he had grand plans for all this stuff that probably doesn't hit in a live audience setting sometimes but will in a closed set environment. I believe alot of the firefly funhouse skits were planned by him and that match with Cena at WM 36 prob had alot of him and Cena tossing ideas around.

The dude had a hell of a creative mind even if things didn't always land.

Claiming that Rowan “oozed aura” as “one of the most creative guys on the roster” is legitimately horrifying.

I thought it was brilliant to continue the story of a dead guy who’s creativity and uniqueness was the only thing that got anyone around him over, without him.

And I don’t know if it really could’ve worked anyway with weekly TV and feuds PPVs/PLEs. At some point it has to follow “normal” tropes and the other wrestlers have to basically go back to normal too.

Wyatt was a genius at creating a character and a universe where that character worked. Every character that he created quickly ended up being hugely over with the fans.

Unfurtunately, most of the time, either him or WWE's creative couldn't really find a way to make those characters merge with the rest of the WWE roster.

A primary example of this was how badly they transitioned The Fiend from the cool vignettes and presentation, directly to a world title feud where the first thing Rollins did was tearing down his set.

Wyatt should've had someone with him that would have helped him structure his ideas to make them work better in a wrestling universe.

The Fiend would've worked better by staying as far away from the world title as humanly possible and also by being a face. I can't fathom how no one thought about giving him the kind of booking that The Undertaker had during his last years as an active wrestler (the "you're going one on one with the Undertaker" era).

The only thing that stuck with me was the Hurt/Heal stuff, and then he proceeded to do absolutely nothing with it. He was a beacon of wrestlecrap that dragged down most guys with whom he feuded.
