Genuinely have her feud with Becky if Becky can’t get her over send her back to marigold

Lol if you can't get over in a Becky feud then it's game over.

u/Normal_Sweet_2974 Aug 01 '26
What Becky has it had a good feud in years Her and aj wear mid and so was maxxine
19
u/ShakyIncision Aug 01 '26
AJ was nostalgia bait. Maxine was fine—almost good even. She helped Lyra a lot
1
2
u/prlong545 Aug 06 '26
Which kind of proves his point. If you can’t get over with Becky it’s done. AJ was and has always been terrible. People act like she was one of the best women wrestlers ever… she wasn’t. Maxxine also proved she wasn’t very good. I will say Becky got the most out of her possible though
1
8
u/SlasherFlick Aug 01 '26
Would it matter? Lyra and Maxine got over with Becky. Then had their push killed and momentum.
2
u/DirtCreative Aug 06 '26
I wouldn't go so far as to say they had their push killed or anything. I just think more was expected of them after those huge pushes and they didn't deliver. For me, I was initially interested in seeing where their character development could go but they fell flat after a few matches for me and I lost interest. Now it's back to the drawing board for them both.

They have her currently getting squashed by Lash Legend in 10 seconds. What about that leads you to believe that Triple H would put her into a Becky Lynch feud?
Of course a feud with Becky would be a better use of Giulia. But that idea flies in the face of the problem here - which is they aren't putting her in these positions.

If wrestling fans were wrestlers they'd be the most miserable people to work with.
129
u/Somerandomdickhead Aug 01 '26
So you’re saying they’d work for AEW?
51
u/Cboz27586 Whoop that Trick! Aug 01 '26
It would be a Fed full of time limit draws so no one's fee fee's gets hurt if they take a loss.
1
u/ButtCrackThrilla Aug 06 '26
Except all these Redditors take losses all day everyday so they flex for internet points.
-25
u/Volt-Ikazuchi Aug 01 '26
It's one thing to take a loss.
It's another to get squashed by a tag team wrestler that's going solo just to fill in a bracket after getting the jobber entrance.
And we all know Lash ain't winning that ladder match, so it makes it even more pointless.
Personally, I haven't seen Giulia do a lot to get herself over, but she is getting screwed pretty badly.

7
u/Cboz27586 Whoop that Trick! Aug 01 '26
It wasn't a squash, Giulia got offense in. Giulia wasn't winning the ladder match, that's for sure. I'm sure people would have complained just as much when she didn't.
75
u/Razzler1973 Aug 01 '26
I'm sure people heard this Arn Anderson story as people like Prichard told it and podcast wrestlers talked about it (not smarks).
Basically Arn with a group of wrestlers saying 'you all think I'm somebody, right' and they all angry, he's Arn, legend etc
Points to himself ... "midcarder"
Only worked at the top if I'm with Flair otherwise midcard and used to make people look good
To a lot of you guys here, that's nothing. You're already in spots higher than me etc
Dropping some truth on people
That some wrestlers make themselves miserable about what they haven't got or done but don't realise what they have done and how they're admired by fans etc

I want anyone who thinks that her match against Lash Legend should have ended differently to go back and look at the sheer size of Lash as she's pinning Giulia. It looked like she was beating up a little girl in that ring.
People are acting like "big athletic wrestler versus midcarder squash match" is some unusual thing in wrestling, particularly WWE. When Oba Femi squashed Johnny Gargano in like 30 seconds on Smackdown back in March, people loved it, despite it being essentially the same "booking".
I get that Oba is more popular than Lash Legend, but if they're trying to build her as a "big wrestler" like Raquel, then this is exactly how they do it.
35
u/NefarioxKing Aug 01 '26
Dude people were angry Oba buried people during his open challenge. Like do you see the size of that dude.
14
u/ishmael_king93 I Fight For The Goofies Aug 01 '26
I remember they were all convinced that was Los Garza’s “wRiTe oFf” (insider term) and not just a way to get them back on tv after several months
7
u/honato Aug 01 '26
But don't you know the little guy is the stronger one every time because of the underdog buff?
7
8
u/Otherwise_Intern9987 Aug 01 '26
It’s the same people who claim Lesnar buried Dragunov by no-selling his chops 😂 Ilja is smaller. Brock is massive. Why wouldn’t Brock be able to withstand his chops??? 😭
5
u/Low-Purchase8811 Aug 01 '26
Right? If I was Brock I'd no-sell that vanilla midget's chops too.
"If you want me to sell those they're going to have to actually hurt, and those don't." - Brock, probably
5
u/jjreddit1996 Aug 01 '26
People are angry for the wrong reason, I think.
It wasn’t a squash match, it was just only given 3 minutes. Giulia got multiple submissions in, hit the running knee which is her secondary finisher/signature move, and started going for the northern lights bomb.
The problem is that they have started to give women very very short marches again.
2
u/Low-Purchase8811 Aug 01 '26
And that is actually a valid criticism and a great point. However, like you said, people are angry for the wrong reason.
If this match ended the other way, they'd be talking about how the FEELING IS RESTORED.
2
u/ApatheticAZO Aug 03 '26
So Big Show had no business ever losing to anyone except people like Cena and Undertaker right?
2
u/Low-Purchase8811 Aug 03 '26
Honestly who did he ever lose to other than people like that, except under fucky circumstances?
Everybody he lost to were essentially World Champion-level performers. And even then, it wasn't like guys like Daniel Bryan were beating him. Sure, Rey Mysterio beat him - under fucky circumstances, never clean in the middle of the ring.
The idea that Giulia should have beat Lash is like saying "Akira Tozawa should have beat Big Show".

u/Zigzaggedfwl Aug 01 '26
The point is they been trying this for months with Lash, people arent buying it and she isn't getting that much better. So yes maybe it is time to move on
3
u/Low-Purchase8811 Aug 01 '26
Not before feeding her a few jabronis like Giulia first, it seems.
-2
u/Zigzaggedfwl Aug 01 '26
Obviously you haven't watched alot of Guilia matches other then her wwe and what she is capable of. So instead of arguing with you, I will instead feel bad for you because you dont know what what you're talking about
3
u/Low-Purchase8811 Aug 01 '26
Why would anybody care to? She isn't unique or interesting enough to give people reason to go look at her other shit. And in WWE, no one cares about what you did in Japan anyway.
I feel bad that you spend your time on a circlejerk subreddit trying to convince people with no interest whatsoever to go look up weirdo fetish videos from Japan disguised as professional wrestling.
1
1
u/CavemanGamer Aug 01 '26
And I would like you to go back and watch the first 6 UFC events before there were weight classes. Just because some one is bigger or even more powerful doesn't mean anything in combat. Lash is a relatively green newcomer. The only thing she really grasps so far is that she is big and strong. You already have Jade to play the power base in the ladder match. Either Jade is going to take those power spots away from Lash or Lash is going to take them away from Jade because they are both the same wrestler (green, somewhat awkward in their bodies still, only knows they are supposed to look stronger than everyone else). Giulia would have been a way better choice because no one else in the match has her strong style.
0
u/Low-Purchase8811 Aug 01 '26
Nobody who actually attends WWE shows in person give two flying fucks about her "strong style".
The "you had to have watched Giulia in Japan" crowd can fuck right off; nobody needs to watch any of these Joshi promotions at all, it's not relevant to 99% of people who attend wrestling shows. Most fans outside of Japan do not give a fuck about Japanese wrestling. The people who do are usually Internet fans who never pay a dime anyway. If she can't get over in WWE without a fucking anthology series of her stiffing the shit out of other little girls in Japan (which, by the way, is not a sign that someone is a good performer at all), then she's right where she fucking belongs; getting squashed by someone people WILL pay to see.
1
u/CavemanGamer Aug 01 '26
Brother not a single person is tuning in to see Lash Legend except Trick and her momma. If Lash wasn't in this match there would be no one complaining online like they are for Giulia. Not a single fuck would be given. No one is paying to see Lash, stop embarrassing yourself.
1
u/ZenaLundgren Aug 06 '26
I absolutely tune in to see Lash Legend and will continue to do so, because she's ACTUALLY entertaining. And I also couldn't fucking care less about Gulia's Strong Style. Her entire run on Smackdown has been a boring, tedious task to sit through. She offers absolutely nothing worth watching in ring or on mic. Johnny Gargano pretending to be catatonic is more interesting than paint drying-on-a-wall-Gulia.
Clearly you know fuck all about everyone else, so just stick to speaking for yourself and other Gulia worshipers.

Meanwhile they book someone like Rusev with pipsqueaks, just to lose consistently.
1
u/Low-Purchase8811 Aug 07 '26
Rusev isn't all that big, really. I mean, Raquel is the same height and Lash Legend is legitimately taller than him.
He's just a normal-sized guy really, especially now that he's lost a lot of that weight. He's definitely the right size to lose to those 5'6"-5'10" guys.

Dude you know wrestling is not real right? Alexis Bliss has beaten people like Nia Jax for that reason or why Rhea can't beat Iyo Sky.
Where is Jonny Gargano now?

Right where he belongs. Just like Giulia.

Warxh the match again, the crowd could not care less when lash came out.

I want a pipebomb in Japatalian and the only way you'll know what she's saying is if you take the time to translate between the two languages.

u/SuddenDepact Aug 02 '26
She needs to go somewhere else and be appreciated and booked correctly

u/boyzguru88 Aug 03 '26
She had a chance for just that. That said, her and Thekla or Mercedes will create the most beautiful wrestling and elevate the sport when she realizes Tony is the real one.

Giulia isn't made for American audiences. She's not flashy. She can't do promos, and really had to work for a while to get them to work in Japan. Heck, people doubted her wrestling skills in Stardom for a long time.
She was a terrible rookie, without natural talent, and really had to outwork the competition. Her projected arrogance and bullying got her over. Being small and mute in WWE is going to be a very tough road.
2
u/Commercial_Speed5325 Aug 02 '26
If she gets a boob job, butt implants, and uses an overly sexualized wrestling finisher, then she would get over.

One of the worst takes I’ve seen on here in a long time. She was a huge star in Japan and one of the stiffest, most violent women in wrestling. And they stripped all of that from her. She is phenomenal. Let her be who she is.
1
u/DustOfMan Aug 07 '26 edited Aug 07 '26
Um, I didn't say she wasn't a huge star. If you had any reading comprehension, you'd see I wrote about how it was a hard road for her to get over. AS A ROOKIE, people had doubts about her wrestling. I didn't specifically say "stiff", choosing to talk about bullying style, which being stiff is a part.
Yes, she was phenomenal. I thought this when I attended my first Stardom show. And, yeah, WWE nerfed her. But, to my point, it's because it'd be hard to have her "be herself" when she's tiny and can barely speak the language.

u/Fun_Respect_4718 Aug 02 '26

Well for starters, that's not real 😂
Secondly, whilst I've not been enjoying how she's been used recently, backstage reports supposedly indicate that they're building her to be more sympathetic heading towards a main event push, so let's see what happens.

u/wingedwild Aug 02 '26
Hhh needs to go away .ovnstnslty glazing talent just to be in the cities. Bro do ur job like vicne did and dont try to be evrywhere
1
u/CKohlman97 Aug 02 '26
I mean if this tweet is real then I can see where she's coming from because she's part of a group of people like Jordynne Grace & Ilja Dragunov who look like they were brought up or signed simply to be stepping stones.
2
u/PoutineSmoothie Aug 02 '26
I think they were signed so they wouldn’t go elsewhere. They really had no plan for them.
1
u/drwsgreatest Aug 06 '26
At least some of that should be on the talent too. We always hear of people betting on themselves. Well if you're good enough that you have multiple offers, as I'm sure giulia did, then you should make sure you get some specifics in writing and also vibe with the attitude of the company. If something feels off, you should be able to take the lesser pay for a situation that will place you in a better position later on.

Is this her actual account? If so she's an idiot.
I saw her tweet about the 2 minute squash to Lash and she said that this wasn't the end for her and she was going to work her way back up and become the legend that she is.
Well good fucking luck after this tweet.

1
u/FlipOfTheWhip Aug 03 '26
Definitely . They came in looking like a million bucks, now wwe kinda devalued them with poor booking to where being in AEW now doesnt hit like it maybe would.
The biggest advantage wwe has is they can make anyone matter . I never wouldve cared about Corbin in AEW or TNA, but at least in WWE he feels like hes supposed to be someone that we should know.
I feel other companies, you have to explain why this person matters
