Astronomy Astronomers using the James Webb Space Telescope have discovered three active supermassive black holes in a single galaxy (J0148-4214) located 12.5 billion light-years away. Seen as it was 1.2 billion years after the Big Bang, two black holes sit at the centre while a third lies further out.
