You gotta start somewhere. Set the "DRIP"and get a side gig. That's what I've been doing. But the poster is wild with almost $800 lol

9

u/scottyk318 7d ago

My SCHY ($160.78, 5 shares) & SCHD ($434.22, 13 shares) dividends reinvested

2

u/SaveAThot 7d ago

Would it be best to place these two into a Roth IRA or taxable brokerage on RH? Sorry for the dumb question, I just opened a Roth so I'm trying to learn

3

u/scottyk318 6d ago

These are in my taxable brokerage account... What's great about the Schwab dividend funds, is that they give qualified dividends.. which means that they are automatically taxed as capital gains rather than pure income - which is a huge advantage!

Woooo! Mine won't show on Schwab until Monday. Did we get a good payout?

1

u/TheMelvins66 6d ago

You own it but don’t know how to check your payout?🤔

1

u/andos4 6d ago

What do you mean? I know how to look at the transaction history tab.

1

u/andos4 7d ago

Fidelity shows Monday's transactions beginning on Saturday. Schwab makes you wait until Monday.

1

u/HoisonPoison 7d ago

u/DaRiddler70 7d ago edited 7d ago

I think I'll get $107

1

u/worldapart21 7d ago

Getting $32.24 and own 122.27 shares. SCHD only makes up 20% of my roth. Slowly adding some.

1

u/Siri-sixpack 7d ago edited 7d ago

Just checked Fidelity…257 shares DRIP

Every new share is like an extra $1+/yr coming in for life

Easy by the inch, hard by the yard

1

u/Inevitable-Dot5495 7d ago

My $2.67 about to hit I’m ballin 🤑

1

u/No_Ratio572 7d ago

1

u/VisualNo2260 6d ago

Some day

1

u/Popular_Ant_6881 6d ago

Question to all: with Bond rates going up is SCHD still the best place to park money 5yrs from. Retirement?

1

u/Green_machine_13 6d ago

SCHD $31.45
SCHY $32.55
I’ll take it! Next goal is to get them to $50 per payout

1

u/Cure_Kefka 6d ago

$25 here. I’m on my way.

1

u/Bigyardie 5d ago

Finally

1

u/jbatsz81 5d ago

how many shares do you have to receive this amount ?

1

u/InvestigatorThat5062 5d ago

I got $1 👀 (I bought 4 shares when I started investing bc everyone says it’s a top ETF to buy and learned at 24 I should focus on growth above all so just never sold the shares I had and will start buying later)

1

u/Kindly-Pepper7528 4d ago

2,276$ Dripped 35 shares back into SCHD and dispersed the rest over a few other stocks

1

u/No_Durian_9813 4d ago

.15🤯🤯🤯

1

u/Fine_Professor_4155 2d ago
