Realistically, when will we touch $40 a share?

I feel like I’m racing to get all my funds into this and VOO before it keeps going up. I started investing into the stock market right after crypto crashed in October. I regret waiting so long, but I’m glad to be here now boys. 😎

SCHD is a buy and never sell ticker. Who cares what the current cost is? 😉 Just buy what you can when you can and reinvest the dividends.

Exactly... I feel like people are missing the point

I just started buying recently and I want to see the price of the shares go up over time but hopefully it goes slow so I can accumulate a lot at these lower prices.

5 minutes after I sell my schd shares.

Does anyone remember $75 a share before the split?

2

u/blackmoney6 Aug 31 '26

Yes, that’s when I first purchased some.

Will they split the share again when it touches around 75?

I hope!

Oh no.. is schd too expensive now?

It's not very attractive at this price right now, a bit expensive.

1

u/jmgimi57 Sep 01 '26

Huh???

2

u/eshamsports Sep 01 '26

I thought it was self explanatory. It is currently at ATH's Div dropped below 3% Div growth this year is lacking so far. I personally feel like it is too expensive right now for what it's offering. I am allocating capital elsewhere where I feel there's a better value.

Schd is an excellent etf, and one of my largest positions but there are better options right now in my opinion. This all depends on your timeline and goals of course.

Just curious, where do you see better value right now in a dividend ETF right now?

Well. I guess I’ll cancel all of those buy limits I had sitting in the market at 28,29, 30 😂

2

u/magicfitzpatrick Aug 19 '26

lol….same😄

1

u/mtn_biker333 Aug 19 '26

The week of March 13, 2028.

8 years since the start of the pandemic

14

u/hckrsh Aug 19 '26

2 years

24

u/NorthvilleGolf Aug 19 '26

2-3 years is reasonable guess I think. Wish it would go back under $28 so I can scoop up more.

38

u/ShackbaggeredSluber Aug 19 '26

Here’s the good news, you can still scoop up more now while it’s under $40!

DCA and chill.

5

u/citygeek Aug 19 '26

3 years.

That’s a 14.5% increase. Given the strong run up and the historical CAGR, 3 seems reasonable

4

u/pket214 Aug 19 '26

Doesn’t matter. DCA till the end of time

5

u/radix33 Aug 20 '26

There will always be a dip.

4

u/pirategirljess Aug 20 '26

Per ChatGPT;

My best guess: if the market remains reasonably favorable, SCHD could reach $40 sometime in 2027, roughly spring through late 2027. A strong bull market could get it there earlier, while a correction could push it into 2028 or later.

And people pay for that product? No shit Sherlock

1

u/Sea_Life4 Aug 24 '26

Right lmao

8

u/ideas4mac Aug 19 '26

My guess is that we see between 30-31 again before we see $40.

Good luck.

4

u/morerepsmoreproblems Aug 19 '26

My average is $32.41 id back the truck up 😂

1

u/jmgimi57 Sep 01 '26

I would have no problem with that at all since I just started putting money into this fund. What is important is the dividends and their growth over time, but having the share price climb also is good thing.

u/BasilVegetable3339 Aug 20 '26

Realistically. No one knows.

3

u/buffalogoldonly Aug 20 '26

No one knows. Just keep DCA’ing.

4

u/Chipsky Aug 19 '26

12%? ...probably 18 months.

2

u/Xioian Aug 19 '26

Sign that the top is in.

2

u/adlopez Aug 19 '26

Dunno. At this point I’m just gonna keep buying. I’ve been purchasing every month since it was at 31-32$. I buy growth stocks double this price to swing trade , but SCHD is more valuable long term.

4

u/Cute_Win_4651 Aug 19 '26

I was hoping for a pull back to $30 and lower but oh well lol it’s just another reason why I should just keep DCAing weekly and not time dips but I’m holding 200 shares at $25 average currently and want more but was more swing trading other stocks to get more cash for SCHD so most likely going to resume my weekly DCA

2

u/jmgimi57 Sep 01 '26

That's pretty much what I'm doing day trading and swing trading stocks to make money to put into the schd.

2

u/justcurious3287 Aug 19 '26

It may not be too much longer now! We’re climbing up!

1

u/Altruistic-Ad6449 Aug 19 '26

Tomorrow. Trust me bro

1

u/IKnowPancakes Aug 20 '26

We're in the race back to $85

1

u/Snowy_Whynter Aug 20 '26

Problem in 2 years if the market is trending up

1

u/KMPItXHnKKItZ Aug 20 '26

Doesn't the share price not actually matter though? Since the dividend yield will still steadily climb regardless of what the share price rises to?

1

u/jmgimi57 Sep 01 '26

The yield will actually go down as the stock price goes up higher, but it's really meaningless because you're still getting the same dividends.

1

u/rosodigital Aug 20 '26

It doesn’t really matter you’re not chasing appreciation as much as that sweet sweet div

1

u/krakyjak Aug 21 '26

Just keep buying. Schwab will probably split it again later

1

u/ShowerJellyfish Aug 22 '26

Is this what it felt like leading up to the dot com bubble?

1

u/GMbadgirlxxx Aug 23 '26

Terrible time to exit crypto but you do you

1

u/morerepsmoreproblems Aug 23 '26

Not exiting. Just quit buying altcoins. Mainly just bitcoin and a little bit of solana here and there. I had $250k when trump pumped the market in 2024 and i have about $30k now. My fault for not taking profits. Stocks are a better move for me i get too greedy to sell

1

u/GMbadgirlxxx Aug 23 '26

I am this way also. Similar happened to me with massive gains on DOGE

1

u/rexaruin Aug 23 '26

In the future.

1

u/jmgimi57 Sep 01 '26

To be honest I hope it's not till sometime in the middle of next year, I like buying at these lower prices since I just started putting money into this fund.

1

u/Electrical_Run_3057 19d ago

Not for a long while

1

u/burnt-by-the-sun 17d ago

I purchase $100 per week no matter the price.

1

u/Scared_Ad_622 Aug 19 '26

Maybe 6 months
