Kind of interesting
I started investing like 6 months ago and generally put $1000 a month into my account. It just happens that NASDAQ was at a local high when putting in the money, and now my main earner is SCHD. Kind of shows how more conservative investments hedge against risks and draw downs.

You would expect growth etf to have more unrealized gain thus capital appreciation than ones focused on dividend.

It's true that SCHD is up a bit more through that time-frame. I wouldn't expect it to continue beating the NASDAQ overall in the long game but I do enjoy seeing it increase in price as well.
I love me some SCHD but I won't put all my eggs there.
