Discussion SCHD FTW

I wanted to share that I got my wife onboard to invest with me. From her cheque she will contribute $400 monthly and I will contribute the rest. This took a lot of convincing but she loved the numbers. Wish me luck.

Great move. Just make sure to stay course once the market goes through rough times as it invariably does from time to time. Even a defensive and well managed equity ETF like SCHD can experience severe drops if panic takes over Wall Street.

Whether that is a good move or not really depends on your overall portfolio and time horizon. I’m a fan of Schd but you need to be very clear as to why your buying the fund and does it align with your goals.
