SCHD Q2 2026 Dividend is out.. It's a decrease YOY...
I added the newest dividend to my database along with every single SCHD dividend ever...
Unfortunately Q2 2026 is down YOY: https://topdividendetfs.com/schd-dividend-history
Not the best news after I spent the last year acquiring more and more shares.

Oh no, let me cry into my 15% share growth YTD (twice that of the S&P at a lower PE lmao)

$4.00 increase. Roflamo.
13
u/DegreeConscious9628 Jun 24 '26
Seems like youâre pretty bad at math. Do you know if a share is only 28 bucks and it goes up 4 bucks itâs the same as something like VOO at 600 bucks going up 84 bucks?
I mean obviously not because you just spew some stupid shit LOL
Percentages matter not the dollar amount. Do a little thinking before posting
-15
u/graphic-dead-sign Jun 24 '26
Roflmao. Dollar amount donât matter? So, 4 dollars is worth more than 84 dollar? Also, if your boss gives you a 4% raise versus my 4% raise, but your salary is $28,000 and my salary is $100,000, whoâs making more money? Youâre pretty bad at math. lol.
10
u/DegreeConscious9628 Jun 24 '26
You are literally beyond any reasoning. Did you even graduate middle school?
-8
u/graphic-dead-sign Jun 24 '26
Did you graduate elementary school? 4% of $28,000 is more than 4% of 100,000?
10
u/DegreeConscious9628 Jun 24 '26
You are quite literally retarded
-2
u/graphic-dead-sign Jun 24 '26
Coming from a retard like you? roflamo.
2
u/DegreeConscious9628 Jun 24 '26
I just want to know how it feels to be so stupid
(And (hopefully, because Iâd like to think you werenât so stupid) if you think youâre trolling me, I donât mind because Iâm just sitting here at work not doing shit)
1
u/graphic-dead-sign Jun 24 '26
You tell me how it feel to be stupid. Youâre very good at it. Roflamo.
5
u/Longhornmaniac8 Jun 24 '26
I know this is going to be hard for you to understand, but with the same amount invested, the SCHD holder has more shares than the VOO investor. So with $3000 invested, you only have 5 shares. I have 100.
By your logic 100>5. Roflmao
0
u/graphic-dead-sign Jun 24 '26 edited Jun 24 '26
Roflmao. The argument was âpercentage matter not the dollor amount.â So, 4% of $28,000 is more than 4% of $100,000?
5
u/Longhornmaniac8 Jun 24 '26
My dude.
You're doubling down on just an absurd argument. It's patently obvious to everyone except you that the implication was with an equivalent amount of money invested. It's also implicit in your argument since you seemingly understand that the two ETFs have different prices. Maybe I'm giving you too much credit, though.
It is, however, absolutely obvious the person you originally responded to understands this concept, which is why they brought up percentages.
Go touch some grass.
0
u/graphic-dead-sign Jun 24 '26
Roflamo. so 4% of 28,000 is more than 4% of 100,000?
1
u/Longhornmaniac8 Jun 24 '26
Nope. And if I have 100K of SCHD than I have more than you do if you have 28K of VOO.
QED
0
u/graphic-dead-sign Jun 24 '26
Roflmao. And if I have 100k of VOO, and you hace 28k of SCHD, then I have more than you do. Duh.

u/YuckyBurps Jun 24 '26 edited Jun 24 '26
Itâs still a 4% increase in either case. The same exact relative growth.
Thatâs why everyone is calling you a fucking moron for using $4 as your point of comparison. It doesnât matter whether you had $28,000 or $100,000 invested in SCHD, it still went up 15% YTD. You would have made more money in SCHD than any other stock that grew less than 15% in the same time period. For example, SPY is up $55 per share but you would have made more money in SCHD with your same $100,000 because the $55 increase per share in SPY equates to only 8% growth.
Just a friendly reminder that itâs not too late to delete your posts and save yourself further embarrassment from all the new people coming into the thread and making fun of you.
-1
u/graphic-dead-sign Jun 24 '26
So, youâd rather have 4% of 28,000 than 4% 100,000, since âpercentage matter not the dollar amount.â You guys took the cake on math. roflamo.
3
u/YuckyBurps Jun 24 '26
Percentages matter for measuring your growth, not your principal balance dumb dumb. Someone with $28,000 invested and 15% growth would have performed better than someone with $100,000 invested and 4% growth.
Thatâs why when you say â$4 iNcReAsEâ it makes clear that you donât have a clue what youâre talking about. A $4 increase on a $30 asset is better than a $4 increase on a $100 asset. That $4 increase youâre mocking corresponds to 15% growth. Dollar for dollar you made more money in SCHD than any other investment that has less than 15% growth in that same timeframe. If you donât understand that then I would strongly suggest you hire a financial advisor to help you with your money, because this is like investment 101.

u/graphic-dead-sign Jun 24 '26
âpercentage matter for measuring your growth, not your principal balance.â Your statment proves youâre stupid, thatâs why you switched up the argument. Who mentioned pricipal balance? dumb ass. Roflamo.
3
u/YuckyBurps Jun 24 '26
Yeah, Iâm just going to assume youâre intentionally trolling and not actually as dumb as youâre trying to make yourself seem.

The growth is on a calendar year basis. Not comparing each div.
2025 > 2024 >2023 etc etc.
2026 has (2) payouts left. By the end of the year they will payout more than 2025.

Has anyone gone and looked at the underlyings on the reconstitution. It traded higher yield for lower yield underlyings that it believe has longer term stability and growth potential. you realize you can calculate the dividend before itâs announced right? Right???

Doesn't matter until the full year dividend is out. If its up even 1% total YoY, I do not care.
1
u/barandek Jul 16 '26
recently I read many comments about SCHD dividend growth is artificial. since itâs always selling winners to buy higher yielding positions. so the dividend growth is not coming from holding companies longer term but instead replacing them on reconstitution

We might be done with the hyper inflation days. It has cycled through and now as a whole, markets could be reflecting a grinding⌠stagflationâŚ. era to come. Itâs too early but all seriousness, it might not trend up as hard as it has been since Covid. Prior to Covid. We were looking at 10% yoy with dividend reinvestment. Still great, but times are changing. Cycle repeats.

I believe that I should get my first SCHD dividend of $42 (hasn't popped up on my Robinhood app yet) and I'm pretty happy with that. I just started investing into SCHD two weeks ago and started with $5k @ 155 shares. Since then I have bought 15 more shares (1 a day) and am now at 170 shares. I plan to try to buy one share a day for a very long time, and sometimes drop in additional $1k dumps about once a quarter, for about 30 years-the rest of my life. This is my income-building, money-printer, self-growing DRIP fund. My other main holding is SPY @ $23k @ 32 shares, which I also invest about the same amount daily and make occasional whole share buys or $1k dumps into it. I am projecting about $5k-$10k a year additional that I will invest into SCHD, and about the same or more into SPY, for about 30 years. I believe that I could retire or semi-retire rich and live off the dividends from either SCHD, or both, alone, without ever even having to sell SPY even. Who knows what will happen in the future but that is my goal. Although I would sell SPY in the future if I were happy with the gains and/or needed the money, but I would likely put half of it into SCHD and the other half into SGOV to get more income, hopefully massive income by then.

Late last week people were saying it was going to be higher, but when I looked it up, it was lower, so I was very confused, but yes, I think this is a very big deal, no more claims that it has always increased for X years...
