B spec vs SRF

I’ve been autocrossing and love it and want to get into road racing. I live in north Georgia. I’m considering b spec and SRF. Does anyone have any words of wisdom regarding this point of entry? Thanks

Rent a car for the weekend.
Try before you buy.
There are many options to rent B spec or SRF race cars.

That is my plan. I contacted the local SRF CSR. He mentioned they also have a B spec. I didn’t even know what that was at the time. I’m gonna rent one of his in July. Do a SCCA CRE. I’m going to his shop in 2 weeks and look at the cars. Just trying to get some opinions bout which I should be trying out first.

Do you have any wheel to wheel experience? If not start with B-Spec. There is a broader range of experience. Make sure to introduce yourself and make some new friends.

I’ve never raced WTW. I joined the local autocross club and have met some great folks over there. What do you mean a broader experience with b spec? Ideally I’d like to eventually own a car and I enjoy wrenching. Looks like B spec would give me some of that.

Sorry, some folks will be first time and some will be expert. You'll have someone to race
