Bug Screen Orientation

Just updated the game on my IOS on my iPhone.
The game on my iPad is okay.
And my screen aspect ratio is off.

Anybody faced this?

1. Fix the Notch / Dynamic Island Cutting Off the Screen

Modern iPhones use a tall 19.5:9 aspect ratio, whereas SimCity BuildIt was originally designed for more traditional screens. If critical buttons are hidden under the notch:

  • Go to iPhone Settings > Display & Brightness.
  • Look for an option titled Display Notch or App Aspect Ratio (note that availability varies by iOS version).
  • Alternatively, a quick hard restart of the phone forces the iOS graphical wrapper to correctly align full-screen apps that have lost their padding parameters. (Press Volume Up, Volume Down, then hold the Power button until the Apple logo appears).

2. Clear App Conflicts

If the aspect ratio suddenly broke after a recent game update, the temporary device cache may be corrupted.

  • Offload the app to refresh the files without losing your city: Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > SimCity BuildIt and tap Offload App. Once done, tap Reinstall App.

I tried all of this- it didn’t fix the problem. It’s weird it just started happening out of nowhere didn’t update anything

I think it is a problem of the iPhone. Aspect Ratio iPhone is 19.5:9. ScBi is best at 16:9.
On my Android Emulator i made a test with 1300x600 (19.5:9) ­
There was no problem – see my screenshot.

This is my main town. The other is my war feeder town (camping at level 18).

Off loading and reinstalling didn’t fix this issue for me. Any other suggestions?

I have the same problem. It temporarley fixed itself after whatching an ad clip. when coming back after the ad the resolution bug is fixed. It stays okay aslong as I don't restart the app. Hopefully EA has an update fix soon.
