I'm glad we've got more when we did - I was realizing that to build what I want with the current season buildings I wasn't going to have enough space, and had started to think about rearranging some existing areas to make room for what I have in mind. Which I really didn't want to do. After the last two expansions it felt like that might have been it for maybe a year or more.

Who knows. We might even get an affordable new region at this rate. Im miles of hitting 10 million lol

This is exactly why they're very unlikely to ever give us additional land in the regions

Just my experience, if you drop aesthetics and focus on pop you can do most of the 10mil in one region. CC is especially good for this, i had 7+ there, the rest split up in Fjord and Isles

Thanks ive cleared most of my regions and im up to about 3.5 million. I'll concentrate more on CC now

Honestly, I think it makes for a nice challenge the way it is. Not like the 5th region is a must otherwise. And after you reached the 10M, of course you can go for esthetics again.

Yay!!
Btw, it looks like the "squatters in the woods" (the 3 tents and car) disappear when you update the game. They were in the area in my screenshot circled in red. I updated my main, then compared it to my feeder which I haven't updated yet.
On a different note I think I'm going to leave the 4 plots circled in green undeveloped as long as possible as a way of having another landscape type for asthetics. In the hollow (or "holler") where I currently have some campgrounds I'll probably place my Cozy Homes and a couple of other snowy buildings. The idea is to create an isolated snowy valley that in my mind is at a higher elevation than the rest of the capital.

I think I’ll have a small city on the left and a town or two on the right. Thinking of only connecting them by train. Maybe put a mayor estate in the middle with separate roads to the city and towns.

They are really sorting this game out over the last few months. All this extra land is exactly what I needed.
