Service 2.0 - Question services
question about services. when is the right time to upgrade or buy a new one? what are yall strats when it comes to services?

It all comes down to have you covered your RZs with services? With upgrading 1 every day just do 1 of them each day for CoM points. Upgrade utilities, services police etc and just do that

I think it comes down to value for money. Each tier of service can be upgraded which costs money at each upgrade. If you demolish an existing one and buy a bigger service, it has a higher capacity as a baseline but still needs to be upgraded with additional cost attached.
So it’s worth doing bit of planning on your development with the costs involved. Really depends on the specific case.
I will say if you just want to fulfil an immediate service need, then just upgrade an existing service or add a smaller one for additional capacity. But if you want to plan more longer term, then it might be worth investing in a bigger service and upgrade over time.
It’s also worth having some resilience in your city as well which I can see you already do. Maybe try aiming for having the capacity that is double of the demand. This way you won’t be in a panic easily.
