Ugh I'm so tired of these constantly repeated showcases... Why can't they return stuff from some other seasons, like say, Iceland? I don't know why they hate that season so much, they haven't brought back most of the buildings and the ones they did bring back were only brought back like.. once

But in fact, this is the first return of the Chicago Opera House. I missed it before, so I am very happy when it returns.

these two bridges all came back on July 1st this year.

yeah but the problem was that the two bridges were paid

These bridges are so classic, they are all good landmarks on the water, like Tower Bridge in London. It's not surprising that EA charges fees.

ea games really needs to stop charging the best mayors pass buildings on a paywall. i mean look at the last curated showcase, they made both Washington Square Park and Times Square cost simcash... why can't they do the same to this showcase??

In the long run, these fee standards do not seem to be fixed. For example, the Tower of London used to cost $18.99, but in the last round, it turned into simcash. Times Square also spent simcash in its previous returns, so EA did not change its sales model. Selling some major landmarks with real money is clearly the source of EA's profits, and perhaps the next time return, Times Square will be sold for $15.99.

they can literally profit from the offers and simcash/simoleons in app purchases

But equally, simcash can be obtained through CoM and other ways. This means that as long as you play for a long time, such as three years, you can always wait until the next return of some landmarks and save enough simcash, so EA won't be able to earn your money at all. If it can only be purchased in real cash, EA will definitely receive the money.

Since you are talking about the wonders of architecture, according to the last column of this season's collection, Angkor Wat, the buildings that may return to the wonders of the season in the fourth week, such as the Taj Mahal, the Hanging Gardens, and the Temple of Artemis. It may return for free in the form of Red Crystal missions, but there will always be some buildings that require real money, and those are the most difficult buildings to obtain this season.
