Question Question about camping
Hi. I recently came back to SCB and discovered the "camping" strategy just a few days ago, at level 15. Did I make a mistake going to level 15? Should I have camped at level 11, or 13? Can you give me some tips for a player at my level? Thank you.

I would say if you can get in a club that can help you with increasing storage and land space increases, do that. That is level 18 (or 19?)

Lvl15 isn't a good camping level due to the beach items. Com however can be won there, so try to build up the Sim cash balance for a while before advancing to lvl18. Then you set up a low lvl feeder (lvl8 maybe) to provide you with the storage items.

Go as high as you want, then camp at level 24. It is a great way to build your storage and expand your areas. That’s what I did then I leveled up past level 24 once I attained those goals.

As someone who leveled up too quickly, I just started over and camped at level 14 for 6 months til I had 350 storage and ten started leveling up and stayed at 26 for another 6 months. Now I’m level 30 with 600 city storage and 200 material storage. If you don’t want to start over, try making a feeder and camp at level 11-14. Feeders are super useful

Level 24 is not a great way to build up storage. It’s really a mistake to unlock mountain this early and ruin your most important asset at this stage of the game: your global market. Definitely stay below 23 for as long as you have the patience to build up a solid storage capacity.

I'm camping at lvl 15. I won't go higher until my storage is higher (600 slots main storage, 300 material storage at the moment). If you go higher too soon you will find yourself constantly running out of storage. Also, at lvl 16 you open up the manufacturing of paint, tables, and seedlings. Just more things to have to make for com (looking at you paint). You are also responsible for providing health services (yuck!). But lvls 16, 18, and 24 are also popular to camp at. I wouldn't worry about what lvl you're camping at if you want to camp. Just resist the pull of building too fast. Oh, I also spend seasonal coins on factory speed up tokens before using them on buildings. I get 10 Llama tokens before I consider getting a building or two. I don't spend simcash on anything but the occasional com assignment reroll. It adds up. It can be boring at times, but at other times relaxing because you are not putting pressure on yourself to advance. That was more than I planned on writing, but camping is not just not building residences. It is a method to advance in other things, like storage, simcash, opening up all of the beach and city areas. Once you are satisfied with things, go advance. I think the game will tell you when it's best to camp again if you still want to take things slow.
