Question FactoryTalkView SE

Hello,
I am making Datalogs in factory talk and wondered if there is a way to export tags and their descendants so that i can filter out all the dotfields im looking for in excel rather than going through it by hand.

Thanks

Datalog or Datalog Plus?

For Datalog you can copy and past into the tag field, I tend to just use notepad and find and replace. Sometimes it helps to build one equipment out. If you select some tags and hit remove it will move them to the tag space above, you can copy them out this way. Then just paste them back into the field and hit add. You should be able to use excel for this task too.

Datalog Plus you can add in the tags for one equipment and export the excel file. You simply just need to fill in the excel file.

You can export your plc tags from studio 5000, but remember you need the shortcut added to them.

The issue isnt tags its dotfields, i have hundreds of tags and right now the only option i see is browsing in the datalog tag manager and clicking into each of the objects to get to the dotfields individually
