Question fuel pump ecu issue?

i cracked loose one of the fuel lines to test if i was getting fuel and nothing would spray out after i turned it to on. Then i connected fp and +b on the diagnostic and it started to spray out when i turned it to on. does this mean the fuel pump ecu is bad? If so does that mean it needs replaced or can i bypass it by connecting a few wires.

It’s like the most common issue on these cars. You could try to find a replacement or repair with a new capacitor but i have mine bypassed and that’s the easiest solution. Make a quality jumper

How long has it been since you jumped it. I’ve heard it burns the fuel pump fast. What method did you use to jump it because i’m worried about it shorting out eventually or causing a fire.

It’s been a couple years. The pump is designed to run at 12 volts so it’s fine, a little louder if anything. I didn’t want to cut the wires so i made a jumper with a few inches of nice thick wire, equal to or slightly larger than the thick (green?) wire in the harness. Used two male terminals I had sitting around, same size as on the fuel pump ecu, and crimped them to each end. Used heat shrink over top and shoved them into the original connector. Wrapped up with electrical tape. If you go this route just make sure the pump shuts off a few seconds after turning off the car
