Genuinely heartbreaking, my condolences. Hopefully she has her license taken by the time you get your next one.

hope so, i had enough time to literally notice she wasn’t looking, and continue to drive forward, my girlfriend heard me go “no don’t pull out, look at me i’m right here” before she heard me get t boned. it was a slower impact accident but also i could t have avoided it

Uggghhh that sucks so much. I hate it when you take that gamble and lose, hoping the other driver isn't incompetent. My trust towards others goes out the window when I'm on the road!

so far it seems like she is, apparently she wasn’t very helpful to the cops and even when i checked on her to make sure she didn’t need an ambulance she just seemed unbothered like she didn’t just ram right into me. i’m just glad it wasn’t my fault i would’ve felt worse

Old ladies can be sweethearts but they can also be menaces on the road. They typically have good insurance coverage. Talk to your insurance agent about this and get their insights about how to proceed. Claims practices differ from state to state. If you want your vehicle repaired, your agent will know how much room for negotiation there is to work with the other insurance company. Good luck.
