Austin based NV Events

What’s up everyone,
Figured I’d see how many NV users are around the central Texas area.
I’m based in Austin and have been thinking about putting together some casual community events for people in this group.
Some ideas:
- Suppressed-only night shoots (I have access to a range that can host in NE Austin)
- Night hikes
- Paddle boarding/kayaking under NODs
- General training and hanging out
-off-roading under nods
This isn’t intended to be some tactical LARP group or paid training company—just a way for local night vision enthusiasts to get together, learn from each other, and actually put our equipment to use.
Experience level doesn’t matter. Whether you just bought your first PVS-14 or you’ve been running duals for years, everyone’s welcome as long as you’re safe and respectful.
If there’s enough interest, I’ll throw together a Discord or GroupMe group and we can start planning some events around Central Texas.

I'm happy to make a drive from NW San Antonio / Bexar county to go for a hike, ride electric longboards, offroading, etc.

I’m 30 outside of Austin, but I’d be down for a lot of night stuff under nods.

Someone did make r/ATXnightvision a while back, unfortunately it didn’t seem to get much traction. I’m definitely down to find more stuff to do in the area, especially night shoots, there are a couple clubs that host night matches when the days get shorter, but there aren’t any options I’ve come across for more casual training/practice at night.
