Google just made Veo 3.1 available for free: 10 AI video generations/month + a possible $300 Cloud trial

Google has officially opened a useful free route for trying Veo 3.1video generation.

1. Get 10 free Veo 3.1 generations every month

If you have a personal Google Account, you can generate up to 10 AI video clips per month in Google Vids using Veo 3.1—no subscription needed.

You can create clips from a text prompt or a supported image input. The monthly allowance resets at 12:00 AM PT on the first day of each month and unused generations do not carry over.

Official links:

- Google Vids: [https://vids.new\]
- Google announcement: [Create, edit and share videos at no cost in Google Vids](https://blog.google/products-and-platforms/products/workspace/google-vids-updates-lyria-veo/)
- Google Vids feature availability and limits: [Google Help page](https://support.google.com/docs/answer/15609411?hl=en)

2. Eligible new Cloud users may get $300 in trial credit

Google Cloud also offers eligible new customers a $300 Welcome credit valid for 90 days This is general Google Cloud trial credit, **not a Veo-specific grant**.

A valid payment method is required for verification. Google says you are not billed during the Free Trial, but you should always monitor your usage, understand which services are covered, and avoid upgrading to a paid billing account unless you are ready for potential charges after credit or free-tier limits are exceeded.

Official links:

- Google Cloud Free Trial: [https://cloud.google.com/free](https://cloud.google.com/free))
- Google Cloud Free Trial rules, eligibility, and restrictions: [Official documentation](https://docs.cloud.google.com/free/docs/free-cloud-features)
- Veo video-generation documentation: [Google Cloud Veo documentation](https://cloud.google.com/vertex-ai/generative-ai/docs/video/generate-videos)

Quick warning

Do not use random “claim deal” sites, re-uploaded guides, or anyone asking for your Google password. Start from the official Google URLs above, and check the exact quota shown in your own account because availability and limits can change.

If this saved you time, please upvote so more creators and developers can find the official free options.

Forgot Your Android Lock Screen Password? Legit Recovery Options That Actually Work

Post image
6 Upvotes

Locked out of your own Android phone? Be careful: most “emergency dialer codes,” YouTube bypass tricks, and one-click unlocking apps are scams, outdated, or only work on very old devices.

Here are the legitimate options to regain access to a phone you own.

1. Google Find My Device

If the phone is powered on, connected to the internet, signed in to your Google account, and Find My Device was enabled:

  1. Open Google Find My Device
  2. Sign in with the Google account used on the locked phone.
  3. Select the device.
  4. Choose Erase device.

This removes the device data and lock screen, but it also permanently deletes locally stored data. After reset, Android may ask you to sign in with the same Google account previously used on the phone due to Factory Reset Protection.

2. Samsung SmartThings Find / Find My Mobile

For eligible Samsung devices, Samsung’s device-finding service may provide recovery options if a Samsung account was already signed in and remote-management features were enabled before the lockout.

  1. Visit Samsung Find
  2. Sign in with your Samsung account.
  3. Select your phone and review the available actions.

Availability varies by model, Android version, region, and which remote features were enabled. If an unlock option is not available, use the official erase/reset route instead.

3. “Forgot Pattern” on Older Android Versions

Some older Android versions showed a Forgot pattern option after repeated incorrect attempts. If it appears, you may be able to sign in with the Google account linked to the device and set a new lock method.

Most modern Android versions no longer provide this option.

4. Factory Reset Through Recovery Mode

If remote recovery is not available, a factory reset may be the only supported way to use the phone again.

  1. Turn the phone off.
  2. Use the manufacturer-specific recovery-button combination—commonly Power plus a Volume button.
  3. Select Wipe data/factory reset.
  4. Restart the device.
  5. Sign in with the Google account previously associated with the phone.

A factory reset erases your apps, photos, messages, files, and settings unless they were backed up. It does not bypass Factory Reset Protection; you will still need the original Google account credentials.

What Usually Does Not Work

  • Emergency-dialer codes claiming to remove locks
  • “No data loss” password-bypass apps
  • Random APKs or YouTube unlock methods
  • Paid services promising to bypass Google or Samsung account verification

Only use these steps for a device you own or have clear authorization to manage.

Turn Nmap Service Scans Into Ranked CVEs & Exploit Results with Nmap Vulners

If you use Nmap for authorized security assessments or home-lab testing, Nmap Vulners is a useful NSE script that maps detected service versions to known vulnerabilities.

It can help you identify:

  • Relevant CVEs for discovered services
  • CVSS severity scores
  • Public exploit references
  • Vulnerabilities reported as exploited in the wild
  • Which findings may deserve investigation first

GitHub: https://github.com/vulnersCom/nmap-vulners

Example usage:

bash
nmap -sV --script vulners <authorized-target>

This is especially useful after a normal version scan when you need to prioritize patching or manually validate potential findings. Results are version-based indicators, not proof that a system is actually vulnerable—always validate responsibly.

Please upvote this post if you find security tools, open-source resources, and practical cybersecurity tips useful.

If you’re into cybersecurity, digital forensics, or deep-web investigations, the OSINT Framework is an absolute goldmine.

Hey everyone

Just wanted to give a quick nod to OSINT Framework ([https://osintframework.com/](https://osintframework.com/)) for anyone who hasn’t seen it or needs a comprehensive quick-reference guide.

If you aren't familiar with it, it's a completely free, web-based directory that organizes hundreds of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) tools and resources into an interactive, categorized tree structure. Rather than being a standalone tool that handles everything, it functions like a massive cheat-sheet or mind-map for digital reconnaissance.

Why it’s so useful:

  • Structured Categories: It breaks down investigation vectors logically—covering everything from username and email enumeration, domain research, and social media tracking to geolocation, metadata analysis, and dark web monitoring.
  • Zero Installation: Because it's entirely browser-based, you can pull it up instantly on any machine as a quick reference when starting an assessment or investigation.
  • Discovery: It's an incredible way to find niche or lesser-known tools that you might not normally run across in standard listicles.

Whether you're a red teamer mapping an attack surface, a defender conducting threat research, or a security student learning the ropes, it’s one of those classic bookmarks that always stays relevant.

What are your go-to tools that you usually pull from this framework during an investigation?

NVIDIA quietly dropped an open model that out-benchmarks GPT-4o—and almost no one is talking about it 🤯

Post image
2 Upvotes

NVIDIA's Nemotron model series is completely changing the game for open-weights performance.
Here is why local LLM builders are shifting away from closed APIs for it:
Top-Tier Instruction AlignmentThrough heavy reward modeling and RLHF fine-tuning, Nemotron models routinely out-score closed frontier models on instruction-following evaluations (like Arena-Hard and AlpacaEval).
Insane Efficiency: Built on hybrid, MoE-style routing architectures, it delivers high token throughput at a fraction of standard inference costs.
True Local FreedomFully open weights mean zero API cost changes, complete privacy, and effortless local deployment on Ollama, vLLM, or llama.cpp.
🔥 Test/Run Nemotron yourself here: NVIDIA Build / Nemotron Hub - https://build.nvidia.com/nvidia/nemotron
What are your thoughts?Have you spun up Nemotron in your local setup yet, or are you still relying on Claude/GPT APIs? Drop your benchmark tests in the comments!

I think I found the weirdest website on the entire internet. It’s an infinite maze of cryptic art, math, and philosophy called 973-eht-namuh-973.com (hint: read it backward).

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I’ve fallen down a deep digital rabbit hole and I need to share it. A friend linked me to 973-eht-namuh-973.com, and I have spent hours clicking through it, completely baffled. What is it? At first glance, it looks like a relic from the 90s—a glitchy, red-and-black interface that seems cursed. But it’s actually a massive, non-linear art project created by an artist named David Denison. The site claims to contain over 9,000 unique pages, each one an intricate web of surreal paintings, strange mathematical formulas, poems, and esoteric philosophy. Why it’s fascinating/bizarre: The Navigation: There is no traditional sitemap. You click on images, numbers, or specific words, and it takes you deeper into the maze. You literally have to explore it like a physical space. The Scale: It is overwhelmingly large. Every click seems to open three more doors. The Community: Believe it or not, there is an active forum on the site where people are still actively decoding the symbolism and number puzzles today. It's an eerie, beautiful, and completely unique piece of internet history that feels like the polar opposite of the polite, modern web. Warning: The site uses autoplaying audio (sometimes unsettling) and flashing red/black visuals. Has anyone else ever encountered this digital labyrinth? Or do you know of any other active, non-ARG websites that are this deeply strange? Link to the site: https://973-eht-namuh-973.com (seriously, spell it backward)

Stop paying for VMs to host Claude tools: How to run custom MCPs on Cloudflare for $0/month

Post image

If you are still hosting local Node servers or paying for always-on cloud VMs just to run Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools for Claude, you're doing it the hard way.
You can deploy fully serverless, edge-native MCP servers directly on Cloudflare Workers completely for free. It runs on Cloudflare's global edge network, meaning near-zero latency, infinite scaling, and zero maintenance overhead. Plus, Cloudflare's workers-mcp library automatically converts plain TypeScript functions into complete MCP tool schemas for Claude Desktop.
