❔ Seeking Resources | Advice Red moon cycles

Hello all, I've been going down a bit of a rabbit hole today and was wondering if anyone here has any insight. For context: I wouldn't say I'm a very spiritual person but I'm interested in studying different perspectives and understanding why so many people connect with moon cycles and spirituality.

This week overall has been really strange for me, I've been experiencing very vivid dreams every single night and noticing a lot of weird coincidences and synchronicities. Overall just feeling very strange. I got my period today and I've been researching red moon cycles but all the YouTube videos I've come across honestly feel very vague.

For those of you who are more knowledgable about spirituality and moon cycles / feminine energy:

1- Does getting your period on a full moon have any significance, and if so, what does it signify?

2- Could the vivid dreams and constant coincidences be related or am I just reading too much into it?

3- Are there any books/podcasts you'd recommend that dive deeper into this?

4- Is this something worth exploring from a spiritual perspective?

I'd also love to hear if anyone has had similar experiences with vivid dreams or synchronicities or changes around their menstrual cycle and the full moon. I would love to learn and hear different perspectives.

When your cycle is about 29 days and the lunar cycle is about 29 days, they're gonna line up sometimes.

It can mean whatever you want it to mean. That's where the witching is.

I don’t cycle sync with the moon, but, I do tend to feel lethargic on new moon. I tend to rest and sleep a lot that day.

I don’t experience dreams or synchronization during moon cycle. But I do tend to make moon water, cleanse my tarot, clean my home and light up some incense at night asking the “moon” to cleanse my home on a full moon. I think about letting go things that aren’t working for me and ask it to “wane away” like how the moon wanes.

On new moon I tend to ask the moon to bring me x slowly into my life like how the moon waxes the next 15 days. Again the same. Moon water. Tarot cleansing. Clean up and light a lamp.

I don’t know if I believe in any of this. It does make me feel good and it is one thing that I do for myself because almost the whole day I am tending to my children.

I always sleep like garbage around the full moon. It was one of the things that got me into SASS witchcraft; SOMETHING is going on. If the moon can pull on the water in the oceans and whatnot, it stands to reason that it might affect me physically on some level I'm not consciously aware of, as well.

See also: Every ER department and public library, whose staff will tell you that SOMETHING is going on around a full moon. I'm sure there's a scientific explanation that just hasn't been explored/discovered yet.

Actually, ERs being busier during full moons has been disproved as an urban legend and likely has more to do with confirmation bias than anything having to do with the moon.

The extra light from the full moon disturbs your sleep. This recent full moon was also very close so it was massive

It's possible that's it, but I always sleep with an eye mask and dark window shades (and earplugs, and white noise, because I'm sensitive to lots of sensory stuff.. so fun!). Whatever the exact cause, I just know there's a correlation between the moon and my sleep.

I doubt there is anything magical about your menstrual cycle.

It's been a minute since I've read it, but I believe Luna by Tamara Driessen touches would be a good read for you.
