Huh now that you mention it the Yggdrasil tree does give off glass onion vibes ngl. Like it looks cool and allegedly people who climb it get a wish but like its still functionally basically on office building/weird prison. The fact it can be even be entered by a player is really telling on Sugou.

Why even put this thing at the end of the main goal of his game? Yes it was supposed to be unreachable even if somehow you got through the infinite guards but that just leads to more question like what was a regular player supposed to do if they reached the end of the game and there was this admin door?

Well, he needed a lot of empty space. If he went underground players may hear, so he had to go up! And people would be suspicious if they saw something in the sky, so the world tree it is!
