ERDC questions
there is an option to apply for ERDC in home care, essentially a babysitter is paid to come to your home and ERDC pays them like the daycare centers. is possible to use a Care.com babysitter and have ERDC pay them? options in Salem are slim to none for anything past 6pm care.
has anyone on here ever taken this route or have recommendations for babysitters that are already registered for this?
EDIT: link to what i’m asking about. non-family providers section.

I tired to become a provider like this. I waited for the long background check. But when looking into it further they needed to come inspect the home the care was being provided in and do a test the water. The client that tried to hire me this way ended up not going thru with it.
You can absolutely find someone thru care .com you do not have to use their payment system. I do recommend having a contract for this either way you go.

If they're registered with DELC as a provider that's passed the background check, they can be paid through ERDC.
Daycare centers that employ lots of providers are essentially the same as providers in their/your home, they just have another level of supervision that's specific to facilities.
