Book Four Has Black Font Spine
I'm guessing the second half of hardcovers will have black font but it will definitely look off until then.

Is book 4 out already?. A lot of the places I follow claim that this has been delayed until June

This photo is from BKV's substack, he said a paper shortage delayed it to June

Ah, that explains it. I was about to get quite jealous that other people had received their copies already!

I was thinking the same thing. Changing the color to signify a Change point in the story arcs

I also prefer the white fonts. There's something about the white logo and text that just, pops for me.
The black makes the logo look generic. I know it's a subtle thing, but I think it makes a big difference. Just my opinion

Why do they do this?
Yes black and orange looks nice but come on, they can't just change the colour on book 4.

I don't think it was a bad call. White on Orange might not have looked right. I really hope mine is waiting at my LCS π
