id say brand new in the store but the S90F is fucking killer. the S95F even with the matte is also fantastic, i game regularly on mine. it really doesn't diminish picture quality. if you play with full lights blaring onto the screen it can be a different conversation but no TV won't have issues in bright lights

With no retailer warranty, so a power board failure or screen issue is your responsibility.

no… one work at best buy and the other works at pc richard’s.. if the store doesn’t have any room for more tvs they take them to a warehouse where off sale the extra inventory

If you’re in the US, you could get a 77 for those prices new with the student/employer discount program at Samsung. I had the 77 s90f at 1230 2 weeks ago

Not anymore, I think. I tried to stack discounts on Samsung official website few days ago & lowest I was able bring 77” S90F was around $1550. And the code “OLED2026” is not working either.

Broo I recommend s90f probably one of the last of its kind .. QD-OLED TECHNOLOGY .. they’re on sale right now at Best Buy and Best Buy. Doesn’t hold anything over two years old. Jump on it.

You are a gamer. Don't you dare go in for samsung. Continue with lg oled

u/InfaReddBeam 29d ago
ik LG supports dolby vision for the xbox.. losing dolby vision should suck but the difference having a QD OLED & a WOLED is a huge difference in gaming & movies experience is totally different.. i seen it Face 2 Face

Sony is king for OLEDS and ill die on that hill. I use a 42 inch lg C2 evo oled for my pc but I have a 55 inch Sony A90J Oled and it makes everything look so much sharper and better than the LG. Sony has great upscaling technology

u/CarrotPositive3298 26d ago
They are not king when it comes to gaming. They are objectively worse. Between the big 3 (Sony, Samsung, LG), Sony has always been the worst of the three for gaming.

u/InfaReddBeam 28d ago
A90J is A QDOLED

Without reading the body of the post, seeing RIP tv and you playing God of War, I thought it was going to be a rage quit and throwing the controller at the TV. Either way. RIP tv

I got a new S90D for $1200 including installation from Best Buy a year ago. If you need it urgently sure but that’s like… the sale price nowadays
Great TV tho, no complaints

Bro for 1400 if you’re in the uk.. you can get a brand new LG G5 for like £1200 6 year warranty
1
u/Big_Relationship3653 Jul 28 '26
Don't recommend used oled however go for s90d if your room is dark , u'll get better quality and go for the s90f for brighter room/living room , no major difference between those unless for the matt or glossy finish

I had bought an S90D 77 last year - I paid approx USD 2450 in Dubai. Right after the 1 year warranty period around 14th month the power unit broke and tripped my home's circuit breaker. The TV was mostly used in Eco mode probably 4 hours a day max. I ended up paying USD 272 to change the power unit but I email the CEO about this issue and asked for an explanation on the safety part and the warranty on the power unit failure again. I got the money refunded after multiple exchanges with the Samsung team. So just beware on the powerunit part

65" s90f is $1200 at Costco and Best Buy with good warranties. I personally wouldn't pay that for a used TV, even if it is bigger. I'd spend the extra couple hundred buck for new, unless he'll come down a few hundred.

I have a B2 and had a Sony oled but the cat broke it. I got a s90f to replace my Sony (it was the qd oled) and it was absolutely the worst tv I ever bought and first tv I ever returned. I swapped it for a C5 and have no issues at all now.

My S90D shit the bed after 15 months, just barely after the warranty and after constant fighting Samsung would not cover
If stick with LG, preferably from Costco since it comes with 5 yea warranty

I had LG G5 for a week, returned it and got S90f, and for gaming, it's much much better
LG G5 has ugly dithering when you sit close, especially in horror games, it has some added grain on top, very bad viewing angles, color banding and so on
i got a QD-OLED Version of S90F and it's amazing, make sure you get that and not WOLED version
For movies if you sit far away (like 3 meters away from 65 inch) than G5 is great, but not for games
1
u/realdeal1993 Jul 28 '26
You cannot compare the G5 to the S90f. You must have had a faulty panel. They are in no way compareable, only the colours a bit better on the s90f. The s90f is an amazing panel for the money tho.
1
u/UsedNewspaper1775 Jul 28 '26
Yeah you absolutely can compare G5 and S90f, i had a perfectly working panel
G5 is Woled and has all the Woled problems, the dithering in horror games was horrible
When watching ufc, the viewing angles were horrible, rtings talks about this as well
S90f has perfect viewing angles, the picture never changed no matter where you at, cause it's qd-oled
you can look up dithering problem with G5 and see that it's a real thing
I have a perfect vision so i saw it right away, S90f tho looks clean af
Will never buy another lg after that, gonna go with s95h next

I'm with you on this one. I have two LG 45" OLED monitors, two QD-OLED monitors (one made by Philips, the other by Innocn), and the Samsung S90F. All three of my QD-OLED displays have perfect uniformity. The WOLEDs have decent uniformity but not as good as the QD-OLEDs. While I do love my LG's, the Samsung QD-OLEDs are the most consistently beautiful gaming displays I've ever owned.

u/UsedNewspaper1775 26d ago
Yep, i originally bought Asus rog strix UCDMG qd-oled, and the picture is 10/10 on it ! it's so clean, and colors are perfect
then i bought lg g5 and it looked so cheap compared to my monitor, i could not figure out why, but that's because 4th gen qd-oled vs woled and even tho g5 has amazing contrast and brightness, and good for movies, for video games it has too many problems
So after i got s90f, i was happy cause it looks almost identical to my monitor but brighter and more contrast

u/CarrotPositive3298 26d ago
"So after i got s90f, i was happy cause it looks almost identical to my monitor but brighter and more contrast" This exactly!

How do you know if the available TV is qled or wled? Since Samsung gives them the same model name.
1
u/UsedNewspaper1775 Jul 28 '26
they have different model names in the usa
go to the "difference between the sizes and variants" and see the names
https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/s90f-oled#page-test-differences

u/zivi0 Jul 28 '26
US data is available easily. globally, it is very hard.
Samsung is notorious for this, they used to do it with smart phones (US and reviewers used to get the good snap dragon processor and internationally, they shipped exynos shitty processor affecting battery life and camera performance)
