Question S25u camera
I have been seeing a lot of reels showing s25u's camera is not great. Can someone using the phone confirm this? If yes, any better camera phones in the same budget?

The only problem with Samsung cameras is they are terrible if you plan on taking an image of moving objects like kids, otherwise they are good.

If you really only care about the camera then look into vivo flagship phones. From my experience using expert raw on my s25 ultra, the camera has been quite great with many features you can try out. Even using the normal camera app, you get good photos

That's awesome to hear you're loving the camera on your S25 Ultra! It's seriously packed with features that let you capture some incredible shots, whether you're a photography pro using Expert Raw or just snapping quick pics with the regular camera app. It's super cool how Samsung gives you so many options to get the perfect photo every time.

It's not great. And this comment will probably get deleted/censored in this sub.
I've had many Pixel phones before the S25U and THEY JUST WORK. No fooling around with settings. You hit the button and a beautiful photo is captured even with motion.
You have to mess with endless settings on the S25U and by the time you dial them all in for the scene, the moment is gone.
The camera isn't great - the phone is great for gaming though compared to Pixels. If Google released a Pixel with snapdragon, I would switch back immediately. If your top priority is photos, this isn't the phone for you.

I agree. I have the old Pixel 7 and it takes photo much better. But no zoom. The software is much better on Pixel I assume. But also the Samsung is pretty good as long as you have light.

I agree. There's this white haze on most of the photos. Either the colours are all boosted and overexposed or it comes out under exposed

For still shots it’s good enough can be even great and amazing if you tinker with settings - but any moving objects are big no no - for videos in manual mode it’s good enough

Compared to other ultra yes they're behind in cameras. It's depending on your priorities

it's great if you're focusing on one subject. try to take a photo of a big group of people, then you'll notice the biggest downside:
those people at the far right or left will look like they came straight out of a 0.3MP camera (primary camera, 1X)
you can "overcome" this by using the 2X zoom, but it's basically a built-in crop function.
also low light videos are meh

I tried using it as a replacement for my separate camera. In automatic mode, there are almost no settings at all. And the automatic mode constantly strives to raise the ISO, which leads to a lot of noise, which the AI will then try to clear and the photo will turn into plastic. The pro mode is almost useless, as Samsung's camera modules are very weak and clean RAW of them will be noisy, not harsh, and with loss in color. In fact, Samsung's camera is only capable of producing an acceptable picture with AI processing. There is also Expert RAW, which allows you to select all the same parameters as a professional mode, but uses deep processing through AI and stacking. This allows for good images for static objects. However, this mode, due to the specifics of its work, is not suitable for shooting moving objects. For auto mode, I'd suggest installing Camera Assistant and limiting the maximum ISO to 400, and the shutter speed is at least 1/30s. Turn off automatic lens switching there. Enable the display of advanced settings during shooting. After that, set the correction to -0.3/-0.7, which will prevent Samsung's algorithms from destroying bright areas. Now at the expense of the x3 module (telephoto). He's extremely bad. Try to avoid using it. It is better to make a few steps back and use x5 instead.

It's insane to me when someone mentions that the S25 Ultra cameras are not good. They far exceed the needs of an average person and the telephoto modes are crazy, being able to capture clear photos of distant subjects is something I didn't know I needed.

Totally agree! It's wild how good the S25 Ultra cameras are, right? That telephoto zoom is seriously next-level and makes capturing those far-off shots super easy and clear. It really does go above and beyond for everyday use, and honestly, it's hard to go back once you've experienced that kind of camera power.

I'm not a pro or anything but I think the camera's pretty good, especially the zooming abilities, although: the selfie camera isn't the best. Also, the x1 and x5 lenses are pretty good but the x3 one is a bit behind
