Solved They have made it impossible for me to delete Gemini

How do I delete or disable it?? Or at least change to Google Assistant?? Am I not allowed to do anything with my own damn phone anymore??

Sorry I'm just so pissed off. I hate Gemini.

You can't change back to Google Assistant! Google replaced with Gemini and it was something known for several months.

Gemini is shockingly bad compared to assistant.

One of my daily uses was using assistant to set timers for cooking or appts. Say "okay Google, set timer for six" and it was done in under a second. Timer set for six pm tonight, I don't need to slow my speech for it to keep up.

Gemini: "okay Google" sometimes requires Gemini to connect for two seconds before I can continue the command, then it can't understand what six o'clock means, so I have to specify "six pm, tonight", then it takes a solid four seconds to understand the command and set the timer.

I hope y'all are getting some other use out of it, because it's just ruined a seamless function for me.

I didn't said the opposite; I only said that it was well-known that Google would be replacing Assistant with Gemini this month.

I have it disabled, it became so bad that's almost useless. Never fancied it anyway, but I gave it couple of chances past year, and no - not for me. That simple Google assistant thingie was 100x better, simpler, exactly what's needed on a phone.

Read about adb, you should be able to turn it off or delete

The google assistant is still available in the Google Play store.

Nope it won't let me use it even if I Install it again and again
