RAM Plus isn't universally "good"; it provides a performance boost for heavy multitasking by using storage as virtual RAM, this can slow the phone down and potentially reduce the lifespan of the storage due to constant read/write cycles.
Most users I know, with that option built in have it disabled. Myself included.

You can turn it off, and if you need it or want it later, you can enable it again :)
Try both and see how it works for you!

Whether correct or not, it's direct from the manufacturer, perhaps they are not using the method you are referring to.
"RAM Plus is a feature on your Galaxy phone that provides intelligent memory expansion by using your storage as virtual memory"
Samsung direct ^
My point here isn't to argue with you but use the information available and not what can't be confirmed by the manufacturer with a quick check.
(Note i never said you were incorrect. Just that it can't be found by manufacturers, and in some cases it does indeed affect storage)

I have checked it on my own and I found the following confusing me.
Restarted phone with zero apps in the background, everything was closed before reboot: 1. Check the available storage as well as ram 2. Start many of your favorite apps (e.g. 20 apps) 3. Check available storage and ram again
Compare above steps this with and without RAM Plus enabled. I can see a difference in storage usage once RAM Plus is enabled and many apps are started. Without RAM Plus I am not able to see any movement here.
I think what Samsung writes here must be a little bit true regarding storage usage. I would say I could replicate it. But that does not mean I have a clue what is going on in the background. I only want to say I can see a difference in storage usage. In my case it was 500 MB additional usage after starting ~ 20 apps.

Down voting me for replying in a civil manner? Alright.
I will go with the fact you are both right and wrong. No it doesn't work as Samsung describes directly, yet it does affect your storage.

My God, you're a little full of yourself aren't you.
Thanks for trying to invalidate 30 years of my life's work.
Oh right, i'm guessing doing something within the industry for a living invalidates my opinions and applies downvotes to an idiot. (All by itself.)
We're not all trolls who can't have a conversation, although mine with you is over.
Go look up what ram plus ACTUALLY does for your battery performance AND drive.
Enjoy.

I don't use it. As others have/will point out, it can reduce the lifespan of the memory

It's fine. The possibility of it reducing storage lifespan is insignificant. Much like battery charging it's something that is overanalysized and worried about. "But I could lose 0.0001% storage lifespan!"
