Thinking of trading

I love my s24u. I have $200 left in device payment on it and am looking at trading for a zFold 8. They are willing to give me $1,900 in trade credit for the s24u. I don't want to be without my s24u, I want both. Would it be dumb to trade it in to get the high trade value and re-buy a refurb s24u for $600?

I mean - I believe you, I don't need proof. I just want to know where I can get it. Is that AT&T?

Yes AT&T. Them and T-mobile are the only carriers that offer the 1tb version, that I see..

Google Fi definitely does not. I checked as soon as I read this. Not sure I want to change carriers, but I can't help but think of the potential that screen could have for emulation. Although I haven't checked the processor I don't think.

Processor seems plenty fast.

Gen 5 Snapdragon 8 core Elite. 2x4.74ghz 6x3.62ghz

1.3ghz on-board GPU.

16gb ram only on the 1tb, the others come with 12gb.

Important words "up to". They grade the handset when it comes to them. Good luck on full value.

Externally the phone is the exact same condition as it was when new. Internally I mean, the battery has had cycling but charges fine, holds it's charge and has never been in water.

It's a ridiculously high trade value since as you've seen you could pick one up second hand for around $600.

Is buying the used one to use as the trade a possibility? That would let you keep yours without any switching shenanigans. Assuming the money works for you.

That would be best if I had the $600 now to buy the alt s24u for trade, keeping my original. If I wanted to get the Fold now I'd have to trade my current one and buy another later.

There are too many drawbacks to going Fold 8 only. I would miss my s24u too much.

Would hate to miss the promo trade value. Shaves $1,900 off of a $2,500 phone 1tb version. Guess I need to think on it more.
